Singlepoint scam

In the sense of balance of reviews I'd like to add that my personal experiences with singlepoint have been excellent!
I have had 3 or 4 contracts with them and never any mistakes, also I got stung by the mobilerepublic.com scam and had a 1 singlepoint & 1 vodafone contract. Phoned vodafone - over £100 to cancel my contract & no cashback. Phoned up singlepoint - cancelled my contract straight away & even refunded my £120 in cashback so I wasn't out of pocket at all on that contract.
In my opinion vodafone are the worst out of all of the mobile phone service providers!!!0 -
For anyone with Singlepoint, whose contract is ending
When my contract ran out last year I ignored their phone calls for at least two months (at least once a day - drove me up the wall) calling to try and get me to renew, eventually I answered with the intention of telling them in pretty impolite terms to stop hassling me - however they were so desperate to get me to stay (it was right when Singlepoint were changing from O2 to Vodafone) they offered me free line rental for a year, a camera phone, 50 free texts and 30 free mins a month.
I am definately not saying stay, as I do find their service extremely poor and their package deals are not the best - But it just shows, play hard to get and you never know - I basically havent had a mobile bill since March last year......I've made my debts bite-size too depressing to look at all at once so am handling them one at a time - first up Graduate Loan £1720 paid off! only £280 to go!!!
Money to raise for tuition fees: £3000
When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!!0 -
2yrs in a row i got 80£ line rental for the year on 1000minzs off peak per month, cuzs i said i was going to go,. that was way back in 1999 and 2000,
mind you i should of left them
i turned down 1000 xnet with a p800 35£ amonth from a friend that runs a local phone shop,. that was when p800's 1st came out,. but at the time i digged my self into a singlpoint contract and didnt want 2 contracts 0 -
My singlepoint bill came through ealier in the week, they billed me for calls from December 24th to January 30th. My previous bill finished on december 25th!! I rang them up to question it all. I have never been spoken to so rudely by both the customer service person and her manager. I even had to ask them not to be so rude, despite all my efforts to be polite and calm to them.
I am out of contract and on that performance alone I will be cancelling it as soon as possible. My questions to them was Why isn't the bill 1 calender month, and why didn't my free minutes start again in week 5 of the bill.
All they thought was that i was refusing to pay (which I wasn't). And kept on going on about how they send out the bills when they arrive from Vodafone. They wouldn't tell me why they don't bill one month at a time and keep the anything after the billing date till the next month. They said my billing period started on the 4th of each month. But wouldn't explain why the bill was the Bill from the 24th of one month to the 30th of the next, and not from the 4th to the 3rd of the next month
Always wondered why people complained so much about singlepoint. Now I know0 -
My friend is on Vodaphone through Singlepoint. He rang for his PAC code the other day and they wanted to charge him £20 for it. I got him to call the disconnections to clarify and he was told it must have been a mistake...
Nice Christmas bonus for the Singlepoint employees who get away with charging their customers for this....and then the window licker said to me...0 -
