SAt/Sun 17th/18th July - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D
Morning DFWers! was up with the larks! finally gave up trying to get back to sleep at 6.30  that's what you get for having a job where u have to get up at 6am!
Happy weekend everyone - so nice to just do things at a slower pace
so this weekend I intend to:

Morning all. Feeling low today so not sure yet how the day will go.
I came home from work yesterday with a gap of 45 minutes to get showered, changed and ready to go out with DH. (Work had paid for us all to go to a picnic/concert) When I walked in the door I nearly cried - DH had done NOTHING all day, the house was an absolute tip and hadn't even started to get ready to go out. I feel like going out for the day and leaving him to it, but I know it'll be the same, or probably worse, when I get home. Ah well, such is life...:(
So far today:- checked banking - still no PPI payment
- checked for surveys
- fed the chickens and let them out to play
- paid CC bill
- deliberated on my day ahead
- have an NSD (Debt payments don't count!)
- bake some biscuits and bread
- go to allotment to continue weeding
- blitz the house

Hi everyone, hope your all OK, still think about you guys despite not posting much.
Today i will or have
- go to library with DS, renew his books and borrow a DVD for him
- get mirror for free toy story lego for him
- helping a friends this afternoon, she is coming here so will save me spending money when out
- might do a quick clean up of house, then again, I might not
- if I get time, I might work on my craft project
- sort out paperwork needed to reclaim back some costs, which hopefully I can do monday0 -

I have long known that I am the founding member of the bad mother's club
but I feel exactly the opposite when my two aren't around. Guess it comes with having a rough time through their teens - but its bliss for me when they are staying away
:rotfl:
Stitching - poor show! Best you sit him down and have a "chat" today xDF as at 30/12/16

Hey DNM waves back - I do subscribe to the bad mothers club too - but 42 days of kids away is a bit random - my pal came with her three boys (two teenagers) and my word the rate at which one of them is always on his mobile texting - I'd be driven demented.
My list isnt too bad today
honest
Just slowly getting back into the swing of things
Banks checked and not too scary - must pay more off CC's - need another cuppa first thoughTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Hi everyone. Today I:
1) Walked to the shopping centre to collect free Toy Story lego.
2) Got bus back and discovered that T was free as they have changed the threshold to 7. Yay!
3) Bought deodorant for OH using Boots points.
4) Bought a lovely shirt for T from the charity shop.
5) Got some books out of the library.
6) Went to Adventure Wonderland using our season ticket. The Mad Hatter was having a tea party so T got lots of free sarnies and cake.
7) Bought whoopsied salads at the supermarket for dinner.
8) Won a scout leader shirt on ebay for B, for £5.50. The local shop are charging more than £25 for a shirt! I'm baulking at paying £5.50 let alone £25!
Wine and a DVD tonight - Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Hope you all have a funky night whether you are off down the disco or cosying up at home, L x0
