Parking eye fine

  • HI

IN NOVEMBER 2012, I went to use Grosvenor casino Bolton. I am a member of the casino and had visited the site numerous times that week. A few days later I received a letter from PARKING EYE stating I had parked there illegally . I appealed this with proof I was at the casino. I heard nothing for about 2 months. I then received another letter, I ignored that, 3 months later I received another letter I ignored. Today I received LETTER BEFORE ACTION. With £100 fine and they are saying I didn't appeal through POPLA? They say if it is not paid further action will be taken and this is likely to lead to court proceedings. Just wondered what I should do if anything?

  • Hi wonder if you can help, I parked in aldi car park and visited my gym. I was there for about 2 hours. A couple of weeks later I received a notice from parking eye, which I ignored. This morning I received a registered letter that I had to sign for, when i opened it its from parking eye demanding £100 within 14 days or they will take court action. Do I need to do anything?
  • Just thought I should log on to give a different experience...

I have ignored letters before with different companies and had no problems.

Parking Eye recently filed a court claim against me. I don't have a cast-iron defence (short of the usual 'no meeting of the minds', 'contracts can't penalise', 'insufficient signage' etc.) so have paid up to the tune of £150 (incl. court fee and solicitor's costs).

Just one to be aware of!

Bit of a coincidence that you have specifically joined this forum to tell us this. Suspicious minds would think that you are a Parking Eye plant.

I think we are very well aware of it.

Did you miss all the current threads on the subject or just choose to predate on this one at random?

my wife received a Parking charge Notice on the 2nd august 2013. The date it was issued is 16th july 2013.
I went to pay the reduced amount of £50 today but i then realised that i was unable to as the 14 days from the date of issue had elapsed on the 30th july 2013!!!
How can i pay at the reduced rate if i did not receive the letter until after this period had lapsed?
They can go and whistle for it now..............
