No-one knows really, you can never have a problem and be sacked. It really is random.Hopelessly_Hopeful wrote: »Hi
Just back from fast food job. Mastered the mobile stop watch. Bad news - after the receipt 'yes' they shouted we need a GAP XXX! In 2 minds whether to mention in the report. If I do is that short cut to we will not bother using you anymore from GAP? Any comments or advice folks?
You'll master being a fully fledged liar before too long haha. A typical....ummm yeh ok then when you're asked about a receipt would help, or saying no and then saying actually yes I will have one.0 -
Like I say, if I dont get paid it's not a big deal. A couple of miles out of my way and a bar of chocolate. It wont break the bank. Would like to know why it's been rejected though. They haven't been in touch with me about it so I have no idea. I did have one job where I forgot to attach the receipt but realised straight away and went back in and did it. It may have been this one but they should still tell me.
Have one to do tomorrow and I'm so tempted just to say stuff them and cancel it.
Anyone get their RE money in yet????
Also, Borders was this a station around us? Because I had one rejected last month... i doing Berwick tomorrow!0 -

Thank Lil. I couldn't I work in QA, am such a geek it's untrue. Thanks for the support though.
As for the petrol they are asking me to put 3p in and paying me 3p for it. That's not cost neutral as garage 10 miles away so would cost me £3.64 to do it and then time to drive there and 20 mins for report. Think I'd rather eat another GAP burger!!! I may have got scenario wrong, will wait and see what paperwork says when it will allow me to view it :rotfl:0 -

Both the Gap petrols I've done (one as a bribe) involved having to put (say) 10p of petrol in for only (say) 8p reimbursement and no fee. I did them 'cos they weren't far out of my way and I was still better off than if I hadn't done them but yeah, it does seem like they're taking advantage, especially if they offer them as bribes!I'm broke, not poor. Poor sounds permanent, broke can be fixed. (Thoroughly Modern Millie)

A quick question about NI. I've read the 1st post and looked at the HMRC website but i'm still struggling to get my head around it. I've been paying class 2 contributions every quarter when HMRC send the bill but i'm unsure if I actually need to pay. I pay class 1 contributions through my regular employer. I understand that if I earn less than £5075 per year I can apply for a small earnings certificate. Does this figure include my salary from my regular job or is it just from mystery shopping?

Please keep any reference to fees off of the thread.
We all know how much each job is, as we all see them on the job boards, there is no need to discuss anything about them at all.
Also, when we all moan that RE have gained another client, undercutting the original company ..........0 -
Hi everyone. I have been a lurking on here for about 6 months.
For various reasons...one being reaching the elderly age of 25 I have had to leave my previous profession and look for pastures new. Could not have happened at a worse time with the recession. I have 8 "A" levels but my previous profession wouldn't be valuable to any other type of employer.
I was a high earner so still have a lot of savings so wouldn't qualify for govt help. But I need to do something so I came across MS'ing 6 months ago. So far have done RE but not keen on them.
But done quite a bit for GfK, Tern and Optimum Contact plus by reading the 1st page on here got loads of tips so signed up for all the Abai clients and got a lot from them.
Hope I dont miss anyone out but have studied all the pages of this and previous threads so thanks to Timnne, Aunty Pog, blindman, Josie and Tractor Girl and Becles for doing such a lot of research and being generous enough to share it.
I haven't got any queries at the minute as I a bit timid joining a new forum although it seems very friendly and helpful on here.
Thanks to all and good luck.0
