It's great that there is an Alerts thread and it's only about alerts only and no chat.:beer:

I appreciate that the consensus of opinion is that one should only post about multiple uploads of jobs and not individual ones.
I mostly agree to that as well, however an ALERT to a job is an ALERT.

However many of you seem to have forgotten that this is an OPEN FORUM and anyone can post what they want.

You can all spout "rules" and "guidelines" but if a poster wants to advertise a job they have just released, then they have the right to do so.



At least they are posting information.;) it doesn't happen that often and at least it's not SPAM or Chat.


Not everyone (including me) is subscribed to this main thread. If a Job release alert is posted on here I would not see if for a while.

The alerts thread is by FAR the most up to date and quickest notification of jobs compared to MSUK and The Office.

Trying to stifle posters with "rules" and "guidelines" will deter and confuse people IMHO and they will not post that REALLY great job YOU want!

If you don't like the odd single job alert on the ALERTS thread then Unsubscribe and rely on MSUK and The Office Alerts.:eek:

It would make it easier for me if the only posts on the Alerts thread were about jobs available within 5 miles of my house... :cool:

Can I just check with someone please whether they have received payment for the chinese jobs? I haven't as of yet but I recall people saying they had received payment for their sauce jobs. Are these one of the same?

Would a separate RE/ single assignment thread work do you think?

Random question-why do RE show jobs that are out of date? Do they become available again with an extended date, or just disappear into a cyber abyss?

Feel free to ignore me as a result of my hissy fit the other day BTW

Hope my alert last night was okay, I know that overseas airports aren't for everyone.

I have some RE jobs reappeared - looks like they're jobs snapped up then dropped. Bit annoyed actually cos someone nicked the one I wanted to do on sat - would have tied in nicely with another. Lo and behold its appeared again but I'm too busy to fit in this week!

They get dropped by other shoppers after the date has passed. If you spot one you want, write down the job number and ring them. Gotta be quick though.

I too have noticed that there is a real sod's law rule to this MS lark, such fun

I agree with blindman.

Even if a job is a single released job or in a small area, it's great when you can pick work up. I don't think anything needs to be banned or changed.
