Ooh, have my first assignment with Helion at the start of next week. Only phone calls, 1 on Mon and 1 on Tues to different branches of the same company.
Not to impressed that thy didn't contact me to let me know I'd got them, but luckily I remembered to check and noticed that they had gone from Pending evaluations to Current evaluations. Would have thought an automated email would have been good, as it's so wasy to get confused with what you've applied for when your signed up with so many different companies!

Oops, I remember getting an email when I got allocated.

In other news do you have an iphone?

If they're the same company I did last month, be prepared for aggressive follow up calls. I had to put the phone down on one because they wouldn't take no for an answer

Helion have developed an App for iphones/ipod touches/ipad where you can fill in the report on your phone/ipod/ipad. They were looking for people to test it out. I'm very impressed at how forward thinking they've been! I'd love to be able to fill all my reports in on my phone.
We are in the midst of developing mobile phone apps, so you can fill out your mystery shops while on the road.

We have a version ready for Iphone, Ipad and Iphone touch..

If you have a shop in your shoplog and would like to test this send a email to Heliongoesmobile@helionresearch.com

It would be really handy to do that actually. Especially for times you have more than 1 job in the day so you could do them as you go along rather than the whole lot when you get home in the evening.
Will wait and see then the bih project in Oct.

  • Good to see that RE can shave 25% off the fees and still get assessors to accept work!!!:D

Shame I can't reduce my overheads by 25% ..... not that RE assignments would be viable even then.

Still, I suppose they have to pay for their proofreaders to chase me up over supposedly incomplete reports: surely they don't need to ask further questions when I have ticked the box corresponding to 2-4 and my narrative tells them exactly what happened?? Maybe they also need extra money in the pot to give their proofreaders lessons in English grammar?? I think I'll suggest they teach the proofreaders some manners at the same time.:rotfl:

Grrrrr getting really annoyed with ESA jobs - there are loads of jobs all about 30 miles away or so. But OH takes the car to work so I can only usually do more local ones. And I live on the coast too, so it's not as if there's even a 30 mile circle around which all those jobs are in, because half of that would be the sea! So there are just loads all quite near together, but just a bit too far away.
Plus RE had quite a few jobs in the busy ESA area, as have some others so I could have had a nice profitable day otherwise! Tsk!
