I know this email will have gone to more than just me.
This paragraph made me think
"Due to the urgency of these visits we would like to hear back from anyone who is interested regardless of when they last visited the store or their distance from the location of interest. Mileage costs can be negotiated if required and we will go with the best offers."
Was this an invitation to me to reply back saying give me £30 fee instead of how much you're offering and I'll do it? If people live 30 miles away, would you bother doing the round trip?
I just wondered how far some of you go to do a one off shop.
I got the same email... Ido these if I can fit them in and i work at a X amount per mile price... generally I get it.0 -
It would appear that there are some complete nutcases in the MS world after all. All those super duper expensive phone/web shopping assignments have dissapeared and can only presume they've been allocated!
I bet the shoppers haven't even bothered to see yet how much these items actually costand how much they'll be out of pocket for weeks on end.
I predict most will be rejected after they've figured it out.
In all honestly, would you part with £400+ for 4-6 weeks for a paltry fee?
Have I made my point yet today?????? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

On another note, not that anyone's interested, the day before yesterday I went to visit a friend and because there was no parking available outside her house I parked two doors down (not blocking a drive). Well the home owner then pulled up and told me to move my car in no uncertain terms. I couldn't be bothered to get in a fight so I got back in and moved it and then got out of the car and walked past her house on my way to my friend's house. I shouted out "You're welcome!" in a sarcastic way.
Well she huffed and puffed and came over and started shouting "why should I thank you!?" and I told her that it was a public road, I wasn't blocking anything and I could park where the hell I liked, but out of kindness moved my car so would have appreciated a bit of manners and a "thank you" wouldn't have gone astray.
More huffing and puffing and shouting from her then. It was a lost cause. I looked at her in sympathy and walked away ignoring her tirade.
RANT WELL AND TRULY OVER NOW FOR TODAY. I PROMISE!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Here's a message to GAP if you're reading this:
If you were to double your fees on your fast food assignments, you probably wouldn't get as many shoppers cancelling their assignments at the last minute and your staff could spend less time ringing round all their shoppers begging them to do them and promising them incentives (which in my opinion must be wasting a lot of man hours every month - have you ever counted how many?).
Then in desperation you have a little (and I mean little) competition when your assignments are soon due in to entice the shoppers to take the assignments. Really now, I have a chance of what, one in 400 people to win £10?! Woppee do. Really pushing theo boat out GAP! Is that competition really going to change my life?0 -
