I think the nature of these jobs suggests that the items should be disposed of and not used. I've not been involved in this lot, but I assume there isn't a good reason for anyone to need to stock up.
Who knows though.0 -
I'm thinking the company should give you instructions on how to dispose of these items safely. Putting a lot of oil down the sink is very polluting and it's bordering on commercial waste disposal. If they had to pay a company to remove these items, I think they would have to pay commercial disposal rates. Be interested to see what Trading Standards/HSE would think of this.0

There'd only be minor issues that would 'embarras' the company involved, if there was a serious 'health' risk the company would have had no choice to issue an 'overt' recall.0 -

Im sure the limit for issuing a "recall" is a fine line..
Without going into specifics of products, companies that perform recalls etc the decision by a manufacturer to recall covertly or overtly is normally a commercial one.
If there's a faulty product out there the options are:
1. Leave it. Costs incurred include litigation if applicable from customers, retailers etc, damage to brand, future loss of sales.
2. Covert recall. Costs include litigation applicable to the products not removed from circulation, minimal damage to brand, cost of commissioning a company to perform the recall and the purchase cost of the recalled products.
3. Overt recall. Costs include disseminating information to retailers, penalties imposed by retailers, litigation from products still in circulation, damage to brand, future lost sales.
In essence looking at the big picture whichever option is cheapest taking all factors into account is normally the one chosen.0 -
Has anyone else received a snooty email today from a MS company reminding you of your confidentiality agreement and not to discuss their company or dealings on any forums? Or is it just me?0

Got a competitors Pizza delivery on Gap tonight, first time I've done one of these. Any issues in getting a receipt or will the label off the box usually do? (assuming no receipt on delivery)
And no email here, although if it relates to posts here I can probably guess who it has come from....0 -

Label on box is fine. Try not to tear it too much.0
