Sorry to be taking this a bit ot but can any one recommend a reasonable cheap printer, mine has finally given up the ghost since I moved and I haven't really got much spare cash to buy one, don't need anything fancy, just basic printing, tbh don't even need colour but I can't remember the last time I saw and black and white printer in the shops!
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Their office is shut until tomorrow morning so I wouldn't worry too much. I agree, the shake was superb - glad I have another to do next week!

Personally given the amount of trees we seem to get through in this job I'd get a black and white laser. I've got a Canon LBP it cost me £30 in Staples because someone had nicked the power lead but it was only a standard kettle plug anyway.

Cartridges cost £30 on eBay but I usually get a year out of them and do a lot of printing.

Have a look at Samsung laser printers. You can probably pick up a little black and white one for around £60.

Might seem a lot initially but put it on toner save and the toner cartridge lasts for months if not years!

When it runs out, you can buy a kit off ebay for under a tenner and refill it with toner yourself. It's not complicated but do it outside as toner is messy!

I've used one for years so my ongoing printing costs have been minimal.
Here I go again on my own....

Actually I saw quite a few cheap printers at both ASDA and Tesco!

    Dear Shopper,

Thank you for completing greasy burger assignments for GAPbuster Worldwide.

Following best business practice, our clients require us to continually suck up to them and lie about shopper experiences to ensure they believe the obvious programme provides more value than it does; therefore, we periodically review our shopper database. This is a great way to ensure GAPbuster delivers falsely positive results to our clients, while also !providing you, our shopper, the opportunity to eat junk food at different locations.

As a result of this practice, we are unable to offer you any further greasy burger assignments, located at the location you were so honest about recently.!

Any pending assignments that you have at this site in the next 2 days should still be completed. !Assignments scheduled to be shopped after this period have been cancelled from your account. Please visit our website to check which assignments you can complete.

We currently have a variety of assignments available in your area for other clients and sites, so we encourage you to login and select an assignment today!

The positive skew of our results is extremely important to us, so we thank you for your assistance and continued efforts in helping us achieve such false outcomes.

As always, your help is greatly unappreciated.

    Best regards,

    Shopper Team

Ok so i'm biased I work for the tax office....
registering for self employment is very dis-jointed at the moment and theres a backlog of approx 8 weeks to get a UTR number - well there was when I started my part year leave in July, its probably longer now.
When the local office was blaming the registration line this is beacuse we (the local office) have absolutely nothing to do with creating UTR's and commencing Self Employment, we cant speed it up nor can we issue the UTRs, we can confirm them by post to you once they've been issued but nothing else.
Once you have your UTR, eventually, then you'll have to go online with your details and a user code will be sent to you by post within 7 days, this is automatic and will normally take less than 7 days (this side of the whole mess DOES work).

The number you need to call is 0845 915 45 15, if they say that your UTR has been issued then call 0845 9000 444 and ask for a copy of the UTR to be sent to you.
In regards to a complaint, hey by all means, all the complaints show that HMRC, NICO and DWP are significantly understaffed and this will only get worse shortly when more of us lose our jobs. You can only imagine how horrendous our job is at the moment wilth all the complaints, its awful we are abused during near enough every call and are also threatened with physical abuse.

When you've received your exemption cert this has come from NICO (National Insurance Office) not HMRC they are completely seperate entities. I once had it described as follows, yes we're all government bodies but if you had a broken leg you wouldnt go to the eye dept at the hospital!

HTH, if you want any more ifo PM me.
    K

thanks for that, i will wait longer then if it is taking up to 8 weeks.

the thing that infuriated me more than anything was the fact that no-one would take responsibilty for the problem. registration claimed they had done their part and sent my local office the form and they needed to send me the code. local office claimed they had no record of form and so needed to contact registration who then just repeated what they had previously told me. at the end of the day mistakes happen and i dont care who's fault it is, all i want is my number :(

i will wait longer then and see if it turns up :)

I've been looking at the Kodak ones, the printers themselves are pretty cheap and the ink is ridiculously cheap.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao
