Could anybody who is a supershopper give me some advice as I have been approached to become one. I basically want to know if it is worth it, what the fees are and the amount of time involved. I know you lot are honest and good with the facts. On the office forum they seem to be anti these jobs with some people resigning from them. Hence I want a good opinion before committing!

    Thanks very much

What they are saying on The Office is quite accurate. Depending on the size of store, it takes me 45mins - 90mins to do the job, then up to another 2 hours for the report.

I don't think they are really worth doing (the food's crap, and the clothes are way over priced!), but I live in hope that the fees will be adjusted to reflect the amount of work involved.

    what's a supershopper ????:D:cool:
It's an invitation-only program run by one of the companies on the first page. Can't say who or else I'd have to kill you and take the cyanide pill myself.

I beg to differ ... I love the food and think their clothes are good quality - but - if you don't like their clothes, you can always buy something just to get a receipt and then take it back for a refund.

Yes, the jobs do take 45-90 minutes and the reports and lengthy, but this wave I've found them a lot easier using the sentence starters we were given.

And I'm waiting for them to put up the promised online questionnaire so that I can make my "comments" about the rate of pay - I do 2 of the larger stores and get the same £xx for them as smaller stores which take half the time to do and an hour less to write up!!! Although due respect to them, they do pay mileage now at a pretty decent rate, plus any carparking etc so apart from time, you shouldn't really be out of pocket.

If you've been offered a Supershopper job, it means they are pleased with your work on other clients, so take it as a huge compliment. Accept one, see how it goes, and if you don't like it, don't do any more.

I do find them quite time consuming and agree the fee does not reflect the amount of time and effort... but I do like the food and the clothes so that kind of helps ;)

    *beep beep* ;)

EDIT: This could become a rather expensive addiction! I recently discovered some absolutely yummy food in the cafe so will have to look for excuses to visit more often! :rotfl:

I get the impression they're having to offer these visits to more shoppers as the original "super shoppers" are now refusing to do them.

I usually return the item in the next shop I'm doing, takes 2 minutes!

My cafe visit yesterday was atrocious. 25 minutes to get a toastie. I'd finished my coffee, the kids had finished their sandwiches and were ready to go and fidgety before it even arrived!!
