Yeah it is a bit "let's tell the world how brilliant we are". Even for a promo film it's horrendously cheesy... And we all know it's a complete load of BS lol

How do you all find the car jobs, i've never done one and am contemplating, are they easy enough? Any tips?

Just twiddle your thumbs and they'll come pouring into your inbox ;)

Or alternatively, make sure you're signed up to all the companies in the OP and there should be plenty of opportunities for car assignments.

    Bare cars or TNS cars?

Bare cars easy enough if you can get the salesperson to cut the crap and give you the price without going through all the benefits of owning xyz car but the report is as long as your arm...

TNS cars again they're easy enough but unfortunately you're assessing the garage on how well it presents the product so do have to listen to some of the crap about the car as well as negotiate price. They are two visit ones ie ask about the car and let them try to sell you one on the first visit and then return on the second to hammer them on price. Also need to make detailed notes and collect a small tree's worth of brochures. Plus side is the report is mainly yes/no questions and takes no time at all.

I should have been clearer, are they a pain or not as daunting as i'm expecting?

Is anyone doing the RA chemists? I've done several and all have recommended a generic own brand medicine. When I've mentioned the brand name one, they all said it was expensive and I'd be better off buying the cheap one. Not good news for the brand name company :o

Had a busy day. Did the chemists, 4 jewellry audits, 2 ladies clothes shops and a book shop. Bought books for my youngest and she was thrilled :D
Here I go again on my own....

Its the bare ones i'm looking at, been MS'ing for a year now and have steered away from them so far but the jobs are drying up and we need the extra income so am gonna bite the bullet.
I've got one for GFK this week, a test drive so that should be ok, its the negotiating side i'm wary of.

Sometimes they're fine, other times they're a pain... Depends very much on the garage and the salesperson. Some will quite happily negotiate straight away and let you go away and think about it others will try their damnedest to overcome any objections and sell you the blinking car.

I spent THREE HOURS in a BMW garage once (before everyone mentioned clients they aren't the client!) and he just kept knocking more and more off. Ended up with a price of nearly 50% of the advertised one and really kicked myself for not being able to afford it anyway...

The premium ones depress me a bit to be honest and it was especially frustrating when I was offered a luxury £60k 4x4 for a week long test drive in my false name!!

Look. please don't jump down my throat but the instructions clearly state that you have a minimum spend. I can't see it makes any ifference either BUT thats what Gap say and thats what you should be doing! However daft it is, Gaps rule should be followed if you want to be sure of payment. The fact that the job hasn't re-appeared doesn't prove they are using your report and you really haven't got a case to argue with them if they choose to reject your report.

Yeah, I accept it. Not happy :( but posting it as a warning to others.
