It doesn't feel good to be honest, not yet anyway.

The hardest bit to come to terms with isn't losing him, it's all the lies. My brother wants to kill him at the music festival we're going to, he said he might settle for peeing all over their tent if i'm completely opposed to violence (which I am).

It's all so awkward, went out for coffee with my friend last night who is my ex's best friend and he was shocked too - one of the few people who didn't know, probably because ex knew he wouldn't hesitate to tell me.

The friend's mum knows what's going on, offers her sympathy and says I can do better but I wish I didn't have to do better.

Found out from my friend that ex and !!!!! dated in school, S4 so they would have been 15/16 ish and he cheated on her back then, she swore never to talk to him so why is she shagging him now? It's just so weird, I know nothing about this but it does explain why her mum detests him.

I noticed you said you don't drive. How about learning? That would certainly take your mind off him, give you something to aim for and at the end of it gain a new independence?

Good luck by the way. What a horrible situation to be in.

Just a thought (although quite evil)

wonders if she is up to something, if he cheated on her back then.. perhaps she is planning to hurt him now.

I thought that too, but i've also found out that around the time they started "dating" she got a promotion at work, do you want to guess who her boss is?

Ex swears another manager promoted her which is weird as he's been going on for months that he's in charge of recruitment, gets to pick his team etc but he can't chose his team leaders? (it's not a big job, she was a waitress in the pub now she's a supervisor, he's a manager on the companies graduate scheme).

So she will be continually looking over her shoulder whilst her shift from 'bit on the side' to girlfriend creates a whole new vacancy.

Jen - you are so lucky to be shot of this creature. She will probably discover this all over again...
