I`ve just become addicted to this site, but trouble is Mr spendless is not suffering from the same problem. This creates a prob cos all bills are in his name. So when I spot an offer I can`t deal with it myself I have to wait for him. :D
For example last night saw half price sky offer and had to wait an hour for him to ring up. Just cos he thought kids bathed and in bed more important than money saving!!!

This was despite me shouting QUICK BEFORE ANYONE ELSE SEES IT AND THEY CLOSE THE DEAL!!!! :D
What can I do about it?

I'm just the same. As soon as I get home from work I dash up to the computer to see what's new on this site! Also I am always saying 'the money expert says. . .' and 'according to my information' etc. I must also add that this is the only site I have ever 'chatted' on - always been a bit too nervous before!!! You see, you are all such lovely, kind and helpful people. Even though we'll never meet it feels like a whole family of friends ready to help out. See - I'm getting carried away again :)

Gosh am I glad that Austin started this thread, I was beginning to think it was because of my age I spent so much time on this site :o it has to be one of the most informative and entertaining sites on the web, and everyone seems so helpful and friendly. :D Thanks everyone..... and especially to Martin.

My excuse is I'm offwork sick at present & can't do much, so sitting on my Viking chair & reading the screen stops me going stir crazy (& I've learnt so much thanks to you guys). ;D At this rate with all the savings I've made I'll be able to give up work when I fit to return!!!! :P
Love to save & love a bargain
  • I start a new job in a couple of weeks, and whilst I'm looking forward to finally having some work to do (my current temping job is remarkable boring and I have nothing to do all day). I'm also worried about what I might miss out on if I can't trawl this site all day long and I'm even more worried that I may not have internet access at all!!
Oh well, I don't have to speak to my husband in the evenings! :)
No reliance should be placed on the above.

You all seem like my second 'family'- I probably spend more time with you lot than my hubby and get no hassle or grief!

    I second that! ;D

Help! My problem's getting really serious now. I've just found myself taking my dinner upstairs on a tray so that I can look at this site while I eat! :-/

Yes but in my house, the boot is on the other foot, the bills are in my name, i deal with them and if i mess up. I get a million lectures about 'if its not broke, dont fix it' sort of thing.
