I am in with my 3 cat's looking at the rain today. I need to put out my leaflets but no-one wants soggy leaflets. I have exam work to do for my hypno that I need to get on with :o.

I used my last Mr T voucher on saturday ( spend £30 get £10 off) I will miss those it has really helped keep the food bills down. I will not need to buy anything else this week so I am really pleased.

Next months budget I'm going to try for £200. £50 a week should be ok for 2 of us with weekend adult kids visiting.

I'm doing liver, bacon and onions tonight, love it. We had some carrots out of the garden yesterday. I was not quite sure if they where max size but something else had started to eat them so it was now or never. A lot of my little toms are still green but I have a patio apple tree leaning over with all its bounty.

    Right lets get motivated

    10.30 Coffee and knitting :rotfl:
    11.00 hypno exam work
    11.30 hoover upstairs, make beds
    12.00 hypno work
    12.00 clean bathroom
    12.30 hypno work
    1.00 lunch:D
    2.00 hypno work
3.00 hoover downstairs , flick a duster around
    3.30 tea time ;)
    4.00 hypno work
    5.00 tea and start dinner

HI, I haven't caught up with you for a while and wow! Losing weight, gaining clients, big reduction in prinitng costs - WTG! :T:T:T
And thank you so much for the review of MG's book - I have always thoguht mind mapping didn't suit me but am beginnning to question that.
It's very grey today here too, and no, no one wants soggy leaflets so maybe this is a good time to knit. :D Have fun! I'm sure the other knitters will be great company, it's somehow a very sociable activity (which is odd as you can knit alone, but I remember a college friend started a craze for knitting in Halls as she made such fabulous stuff, and we used to admire her garments a lot).
Firewalker - could you split the amount you're eating into more but smaller meals so you keep your energy up? Just a thought - I'm not an expert!

  • Probably I should send Little Boy to a knitting group - he has learned to do it from TouTube while I was away. Now sitting here and knitting (off school with a cold).

  • I have a confession I have put weight on:eek:. In my defence it was my sons 18th last week, so with cake ,wine, meal out it's not surprising. At least I am 3 stone lighter than I was 18 years ago :T. I'm back on track this week, no wine or cake for me :(

I love to knit and cross stitch, my nan said 'if you have some knitting you always have something to do'. She was right, I get bored watching tv so it's good to do something constructive. It stops you snacking as well :D I am really please your son has learnt to knit firewalker, well done to him :T. I think it's a shame these things are not passed down anymore. My older brother was better at knitting than me. He did'nt do very well at school, but in the real world he is amazing, he can make anything out of anything. He has a fantastic home he has nearly built himself.

Right back to work, I'm sitting here with my garfield hot waterbottle on my lap keeping me warm. 1 cat in the room so far, hoping the other 2 will follow, so thier hot little breath can help heat the room. Is that OS or just crazy cat woman talk :rotfl:

I have been ill this week so not much work done. I only had 3 clients so was able to drug myself up and get through it ok. I did have the background music louder though to cover up my gurgling tummy :rotfl:. My e-bay sales have been good so I was able to relax knowing I was making some money.

Next week  no clients! I need to get my leaflets out but have not been well enough to walk the streets. On the plus side I could get phone calls today, always hopefull.

I am joining a local small business information hub today. For £5 a month they put your details on there website (no hypnotherapists on there yet ;))and have an information centre in the town where you can leave your leaflets and cards. I can also volunteer to man the centre and so promo my business. I have on order a T-shirt from vista with my details on that I can wear while in there:D

I got a call last night from Mr T to offer me an interview:T. So I am going in today, fingers crossed. It would be a nice little saftey net and only 9 hours so will not interfer with hypno.

I'm back, after a nasty bug that has felt like a chain around my feet for the past month. The black cloud has lifted and I'm ready to move forward again.
The hypnotherapy has nosedived so I am on the leaflet drop trail again. With christmas on peoples minds I know it will be quiet, but I keep the faith , if I leaflet they will come :D. I did get the job at Mr T so I have 9 hours there and will be putting my name in the overtime book as much as poss. Last month was great for e-bays, someone was watching over me so I could rest and get well :A, thanks.

    Books I have enjoyed are ;

Legacy by katherine Webb , loved this book, it has a mystery that keeps you page turning . 9/10

Aweekend with Mr Darcy by Victoria Connelly, light hearted romp, silly but fun. It did run our of steam befor the end 7/10

Wealth and abundancy by Glenn Harrold ( my hero) comes with hypno CD. Using it as study but hoping to encourage abundance. Glenn Harrold has a very spiritual approach and a great role model. 9/10 will give it a 10 when I am rich :rotfl:

Sounds like you have had a lovely day Knitwit. Glad you are on the up after your illness.
How about offering gift vouchers on your leaflets - with Christmas coming I bet you will sell quite a few - especially if you promote as helping with new year resolutions like weight loss and giving up smoking. Have you thought about having some group sessions so that gift vouchers could be used for that and then people may feel more comfortable as a first experience. That would guarantee some more bookings I think.
Enjoy that wine and book. I have just finished Cecelia Aherne The Gift. It was easy reading and good but not as good as some of her others. Maybe I am just getting too used to the forumula

I have been thinking of going more down the weight lose path in the new year, my new leaflet include this. Groups could work but sometimes 1 to 1 is best.

Cherisong I hope you a have a lovely holiday, just totally relax and enjoy yourself:beer:. I find I enjoy new writers more as it is unexpected when you love a book. Fave writers can disappoint as you expect so much more.

Booked in another client :D, the affirmations are working . This client was through the website, the leaflet drops don't seam to be doing much. I will carry on doing them as people save them in draws and ring weeks later when the time is right for them.

Quiet day here, tidied house and made lunch for DH business friends lunch meeting here. They have now gone and the boiler service man is here. I must smell like a right lush , I had a couple of glasses of wine with the boys . The boys have gone so it's me and empty bottle of wine and wine breath, oops.

I have started my xmas shopping Mr T has vintage port £13.99 down to £6.99 and after eight mints 1/2 price . So I have got 2 port loving friend a bottle and chocs each for under a tenner per prezzie worth about £19.00, result :T. There are huge boxes of thorntons chocs 1/2 price (£6.00 I think) if you know any chocoholics.

I think I need more coffee i,m rambling, ......staggers off to kitchen :rotfl: happy days
