One here for one of the people that prompted me to take over Kittie's "Its getting tough" threads when she was no longer doing so - ie Big MummaF - as I recall Pup (ie your dog) getting fed on human food:

by Rebecca Hosking (ie the woman at the forefront of getting plastic bags banned) - so I am confidently anticipating she will make good headway on getting processed dog food banned judging by her track record to date:)0 -

Thats got me thinking....I tend to feel the cold as well and I have low-ish blood pressure. Is that one of the things that goes with that then - and I didnt know it?0 -

I'm not sure if I read it somewhere, or I'm just presuming?:)
My BP is normally 86/52. Symptoms vary but I did read that salt can help. Let me know if you find any info.Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
hi taplady..i pay my gas and electric by dd..earlier this yr they sent me a letter wanting to reduce my gas one down to £6 a month..now i know every penny helps at the min but thats just stupid..when i rang to tell them i wanted to leave it at what it was it took me almost 30 minutes to convince them i didn't want too..i did it with my electric before and ended up with a huge bill that took forever to get rid of..now i'm in credit with them both ...so at the mo i can put heating on without feeling guilty about the bill...Be who you are, not what the world expects you to be..:smileyhea

..hmmm...quick google for "symptoms of low blood pressure" and found "suddenly feeling cold or clammy" and other things I personally recognise - but thats "suddenly" and, och well, theres worse things - as in it would seem we are at lower risk of some things I would HATE (like heart problems and strokes) - thats at a very quick glance......0 -

Feet - yep...I can relate to that...catch me going round in sandals in colder weather...I think NOT. Hands - there we go into "complications" - apparently I'm a bit of a healer (I'm told) - so I have particularly warm hands... (I use them sometimes as a mini-"fire" to warm myself up...)
Errr...nope...PLEASE dont start sending me emails on that......I only said "bit of...".....0 -
Last November I ended up in hospital for a week with a blood clot in each lung and also pneumonia and it took ages to feel anywhere near normal. I am now off Warfarin and hoping once we get our new house sorted out so it is warm and cosy, with sack of spuds, onions and carrots in garage and get the freezer in the garage stocked up with meat, fish etc that I won't have to go out when it is cold and wet.
Have been taking vitamin D3 in autumn and winter and it seems to be helping. Must get back to taking the stuff!!!
Huge pot of pea soup is in the slow cooker for tonight and tomorrow (if DH leaves any). Managed to sort out loads of tins on shelves in garage so I can now find things and new kitchen (15 years old but new to us) has lots of cupboards so stocks of flour, yeast, sugar, tea, coffee, dried peas, lentils etc. are all safely stored where I can find them.
The four thermal vests etc that I treated myself to the other day are in wardrobe ready for still colder weather and the new wooden window blinds should be installed on Tuesday which should make the house more comfortable.
We still need to choose and buy most of the light fittings as well as the made to measure blinds which our sellers agreed to include in the sale but then removed them as well as everything they could grrh!!!
DH is in the garden having decided to shift the pergola about six feet - he has been working on it for days but it is a bit squinty (well a lot squinty) but he is enjoying himself so much I don't want to criticise."This site is addictive!"
