I just wish that I could have one baby naturally never mind thinking about 2, 3, 4 or more. Our hopes of ever being parents may be completely dashed by the end of this year if our treatment doesn't work and I know there are plenty of people who say we shouldn't even get such treatment on the NHS whilst there are cut backs.
I saw my mum earlier, she was made redundant just over a month ago and is looking for work at the moment but fears her age will get in the way, it shouldn't of course but we all know that they can find other reasons to say no to cover their backs against discrimination. I do worry about her. She doesn't have full double glazing or any central heating at her house and there aren't any opportunities to get support to pay for it as such schemes either ran out of money or have very strict criteria for age or what benefits you must be on meaning she doesn't qualify. I'll be inviting her round for tea at least once a week when it gets colder so she at least gets an evening a week in a warm house. If it comes down to it and the weather is anything like last winter we have a spare room and I'll be doing my best to convince her to stay over.
I still haven't heard back about my interview and they said they'd call today so I'm writing it off, clearly they're not interested. I'll call them on Monday if I don't hear today but I'm really put off by calling and them just saying no which it seems is going to be the response. I'm so fed up with it.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

Hi guys.
Guess im adding to overpopulating having a 3rd, thanks for all the congrats.
Our 2nd cost us hardly anything as had all stuff from 3rd, breastfed and use cloth
3rd wont cost too much unless its a boy but even then get everything 2nd hand.
We will need bigger car as ours cant fit 3carseats but we only run 1car.
we grow own, veg, buy lot of bristish stuff and recycle a lot so guessing our carbon footprints pretty good.
House wise cant afford to move for few years we live 3bed 3rds box room.
baby will sleep in our room in cot then either have box room if boy or share with my 1year old if girl.
They will all attend same schools preschool primary so can pass down uniforms.
Biggest shock of all after our 1st was how expensive childcare was and loss of income.
Im not currently working so no worse off.
extra cb be minimal but will help I guess.
We always wanted 3 wanted shorter gap and then as they get older things will bne easier.
I think if you wait until you rich to have kids sometimes never happens.
I think if people can afford it then why not its familes where both parents dont work that have huge familes and rely on state for everything that can be a strain.
If it through redundancy or illness but see lots in papers about families makes everyone convinced everyones at it when guess they small proportion.
I agree that that more houses need to be built.
But object to places like small town I grew up in with anothere executive estate being built that majority of town could never afford I think whats the point?
I think theres scoope for more by let schmes but they need to increase the 30grand figure they currently have as hardly anyone can take advantage of them as they either too low on earning to get morgage or too high earnings to be eligable.
I think more buying up existing abadoned properties good.briownfeild sites.
greenfeild tough one as bristol have few brand new areas which were built like small towns but the amenities like schools cant cope with amount of housing still being built.
Forsee huge problems when kids grown up and start secondary as they need to build a new one.
Thing is property developers make their profits.
Its down to council to build doctors, libaries and schools to meet that new communities needs.
Grim news on local news local council near us not mine axing 1500 council jobs, libaries shutting or restricted opening and no new schools although in my opinion labour seemed obsessed with building shiny new schools for sake it and merging good schools together and building superschools.
Not done much at all today did some number work with eldest.
babys been grumpy.
Tried to get baby in own bed last nite was fine until crawling accross landing at 12.30.
Going to try again tonight .
Attempting giving up breastfeeding next week which will be a toughie.
need to clear up mess kids made and clean kitchen cant get motivated today.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:

Gailey...you are such a busy lady! Congratulations on pregnancy, do try to take things a little easier if you can ( yes, I do know that pregnancy is not an illness, had 7 children!)
You are doing a great job with what you have, just continue more of the same.

If I was brave enough I would keep dual purpose chickens.
Any more doom and gloom?
hmmm i'm sick of and gloom so writing something positive for a change, well for me anyway:p. I'm the queen of whining and complaining.
OH's just came back and guess what he has his NVQ3 in gas and heating :j:j:j:j so now he can apply for another job if he wishes yayayayayay
Were all very happy in the house now, so it'd good news finally!
Haven't done much today apart from decluttering, cleaning and phoning up various companies. So been quite a chilled day. Not sure what were doing tonight, might go for a walk somewhere as OH finished work early.
I know nothing old style in my post, em no wait i'm going to measure the curtains for coddy's (DS1) room. That'll do:)
As for the planned / unplanned, both of my boys were conceived when 1)i was on the pill 2) fell pregnant whilst talking the depo proveria.3)I'm happy with both of my boys as i thought i would never be able to have children, so both are a miracle for me. I don't regret them and like said before my life has been enriched by having them. I will have memories of them long into the future which will be mine alone. If my boys decide to have children, then bonus, if not it's up to them as its up to them to live they lives the way they want to. No one should have the right to dictate whether they should have children or not.0 -
I didnt like the sound of the bit about the price of meat rising because of the wheat/winter feed shortage AND the fact that China is buying more meat. The drought is a one-off but China isnt. Maybe thats the age of cheap food gone forever because China and India are taking more and more which will keep the prices high ? Maybe we need to learn how to make a pound of mince last a month :rotfl:0

I wonder if I'm the only OSer who's a little tired of green this and eco that?
30º wash? Doesn't seem to do much for my washing.
My attitude to environmental issues is
Do what you can, where you are, with what you have.
30º wash doesn't do much about the latest epidemic either, it seems. Even a 40º wash doesn't do the business. In case anyone thinks this is a scare story, I have a friend who brought back bed bugs from the US in her luggage. The first she knew about it was when they colonised her new double bed.0 -

I am with you lambanana. I would LOVE to have 1 child. I have come to accept that I am going to have no children of my own, but it breaks my heart on a regular basis.
Gailey, you have my hearty congratulations on your pregnancy. I think all babies are wonderful and should be celebrated, and with luck, cuddled regularly by me! I just feel like I am never going to be member of a very exclusive club, and therefore feel a little excluded. People think it is so easy to become pregnant. Not all the time its not. And Adoption is not necessarily the right answer either. Or easy.
Lamabanana, I wish you all the very best of luck with your treatment. I tried hormone replacement as a method of evening out my hormone levels but ended up being very similar to the Sister of the Incredible Hulk. Only less green. And MUCH meaner. :rotfl::eek:
For the sake of my marriage, I stopped that treatment. And I can't accept anything else due to my religious beliefs. And several times a week I think that totally sucks. But I am getting there. It has so far taken me 3 years to get to this stage. Its a long old road. And I have two very cute god children who I spoil rotten to kind of make up.
So those of you who have children, and have them close by, give them a huig and cuddle and count your blessings. And if you don't have babies, then commisserations or celebrations, depending on your view point."A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440
