congrats Gailey. And 1year olds don't usually need presents we had some family and a couple of close friends round for cake on our DD's 1st birthdays.
naabanekeater - so sorry about your pup.
Taplady - that's wonderful news.
Smiley t - just thinking about your poor lonely hen makes me so sad, i hope it all works out with the new ones.
Sitting here at work annoyed because it is sunny and I didn't hang my washing out this morning:( Hope it's sunny at the weekend as my washing basket is like the magic porridge pot - never empty!0 -
Of course it is Charis. Balance in all things is the way to not fall off the plank
People get a bee in their bonnet so easily and then start trumpeting (oooh I'm mixing bees and elephants in the same sentence ) and then if you're not doing what they tell you to - suddenly you're a non person. Well If I was meant to be a bloody sheep then I'd have wool thankyouverymuch. Am not a sheep and I can think for myself.
Well. Once I've got my tea and some chocolate I can !0 -

:T to mardatha and charis. Some reasoning. I am believer in that if you are going to preach, start small. We can all only do so much, every little helps. Wanting holiday companies to go bust is just short of ludicrous. Just think of the long term affects of that - the knock on effect of jobs being lost and the £'s lost to countrys through tourists. I'm soory but I guess you can tell, that post irritated me.
Gailey - I am so pleased for you.
Gigervamp - my mojo is misplaced today, its a shame as the weather is so beautiful up North.
A big hug to all those that need it, seems a lot who need one today
xLoved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
I can't remember that post NW, but just in general I havent the energy to go over the top. I often sneak plastic into the rubbish bin when I'm too knackered to wash it. Thats not balance though, thats lazyness ! :rotfl:0

Anybody had a look at this website? Loads of recipes etc on there, including one for green tomato chutney:rotfl:which I may well be making due to a lack of red hue on ours.

The only reason I grow tomatoes is to make chutney - they never ripen for me or if they do they are as tough as old boots so have to be skinned and used for cooking anyway. But green tomato chutney is yummyIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Congratulations Gailey! :j
No wonder you've been so tired and worn out lately - as if everything you were doing wasn't enough, you were pregnant as well, you crazy lady!
Nice to hear some good news
Hugs to those who have had bad news :grouphug:

Congratulations Gailey!
DS and I registered at the local library today - though he's a bit young to be checking out books just yet! I've been to baby signing classes through the children's centre already (which again, he was a bit young for!) and will be taking him to a stay and play session tomorrow. I hope the council don't cut funding for the children's centres as they seem a great idea (and are free!)0 -
Congratulations Gailey. That's great news. I have 20 months between mine but only have the two. It is very hard work but worth it. Your eldest daughter will probably be a help to you in little ways. Mine are all grown up now and very close although they do still niggle at each other at times.
Well done Tapladys son and hope other one does well. Sorry can't remember which one is which.
So sorry to everyone with problems/feeling down at the moment.
Another lovely day here. Lots of washing out and dried. Hope it stays like this for a while.
Regarding being green. I do my bit, recycle in the correct bins, have a compost bin etc. but I am not going to kill myself doing it whilst they are still sending rockets up into space, talk about putting men on the moon again and our country wants in on the space programme.
Decided it was a bit of a farce when USA president came over with all his entourage and flew in with about 20 helicoptors surrounding him. Saw something about the space programme around the same time. Makes my taking my own shopping bags to Morrisons (which I do) a drop in the ocean. Sorry rant over, don't usually get like this.Second purse £101/100
