Kezlou, sweetie, I think you misread my post (or I wasn't clear...probably the latter! Feel like an extra in a zombie flick at the mo!) Hubby and I firmly together. It is both of us who will be moving, not just him (though there are times when I would quite happily bury him under the patio!). Thanks for your concern though!

Grumpycupple, my standby for wedding presents are vases. Means the hubby needs to buy flowers regularly for it! :) However, hamper things could be homemade jams, bread etc that they can have before they go on honeymoon (thinking breakfast in bed, that sort of thing?)

You need a full car license to ride a quad on the road, not just a m/c license. ;)

Q: What licence is needed to drive a road legal Quadricycle or Buggy?
A: A full UK car licence, or a full Motorcycle Licence if granted before Feb 2001. The actual category required is B1.

So unless you have been riding more than 9 years on a full bike licence you need a car licence.

  • Just got back from the butchers & the bacon has gone up from £8.70 a pack to £8.90, it used to be £7.60 last year, nor I need to break it up & pack it into small amounts & freeze it. It will last us a month or two I hope & it still works out cheaper than buying individual packets.

Gailey, I am sure I read smewhere that council tax bills will be frozen next April so that may be one small worry less.

Off to take kids out for a few hours today, realised yesterday that we been back off holiday ten days and the two youngest havent been out of house/garden at all, no wonder they are wrecking the place!!

Grumpycouple - how about a vase and then some flower seeds packet and some small garden tools etc, that way hubby can grow some flowers to go in the vase. I usually go with a nice vase for the very reason it reminds hubby to buy flowers occassionally!

Ooh do you know that I have a hand gardening tool kit still wrapped.:j So along with a vase and some flower seeds seems like a fab idea.

Does bacon work out better direct from butchers then,.
A nearby suberb has a butchers and aslo a cold meats place i should go to more often.

Do you freeze it all and defrost or is it ok in fridge.

Still tipping down here debating window shopping at indoor shopping mall . Hubbyw ill hate it but we can press faces against window and look at things we cant afford and dream.
Can sniff and stroke handbags and shoes in department store, maybe get few free samples from makeup counter.

Yesterday rare occasion brought 1quid scatchcard whilst i walked home with it in my pocket i had hope but nope never seem to win anything. Tried comping board before entered 100comps a month and not won nothing.

Thanks for messages of good luck, im more nervous than him, hes home now and quietly confident although wont be able to get a larger turnover store straight away which is frustrating but its very good career move and we will be bit better off just worried rising cost of living will cancel it out.
Im hoping ct freezes thourght it was up to each council.

What annoys me more is when looking at schools our lea spends less per pupil than neighbouring lea dont think thats fair.
Bristol spend more but worst 5leas in entire uk so money does not always equal results.

  • *Hardup Hester* - Well done on nabbing all those bargains!

Fingers crossed for DH's interview, *gailey*.

Sorry you had to go to a funeral, *Grumpycupple*, but at least you have that wedding to look forward to. I think a vase and the gardening things is a brilliant idea!
