cant read what youve put :(
  • good morning, good morning!! :D

No idea what happened to that last post yesterday! Bizarre!!

I just said that I haven't earned anywhere near that this year, I was working 2 jobs last year to save enough to allow me to give up work at Christmas. The woman was quite snotty with me too, I don't think she believed that I hadn't any kind of benefits or whatever coming in!?

Our wedding isn't 'til 14.07.10, only just realised that it was two years to go the other day! Whoops! I'm a bad bride to be! :o:D We're not organising very much at the minute, mostly because we don't have any money! ;) We'll wait 'til we get some savings together, then next summer I'll blitz it! How are your plans coming along?

    xx
  • happy Friday everyone!

So glad it's almost the weekend - the boredom in this temping job is driving me to distraction - gotta keep thinking of those pennies mounting up I suppose!

So - what DFW things have you done today i hear you ask!! Or is that just the voices in my head! ;)

    Well

    1. I *needed* new shampoo and cosmetic cotton pad things - didn't realise that I had £12 of points on my boots card - so i got both for free! :D :money:
    2. Yo-yoing between the tax office and my old employer to try and sort out my tax rebate from last year, taxman is insiting I need a P11D form to detail the value of the company car etc that i had, old employer are insisting that I don't!  Hhhhmmmmppphhhh - I have the number of the woman now though who issues these forms, so I'll try her again in my break this afternoon!

    3. Depositted £40 of the £50 I made yesterday for selling some of my uni textbooks (Kept £10 back as I forgot to bring lunch, so would've had to immediately lift more money to buy some!)

    4. Signed up for Ciao and Dooyou - haven't quite got my head round how it all works yet, but I've written 2 reviews so far for Ciao, so we'll see how it goes!

And that's about all for now folks!! ;) Hope you all have a luverly weekend planned! Hopefully I'll be having a very cheap (possibly even free!) one myself! :D

The 2,000 was for the whole 12 months haha, i wish it was for only 6! That would be a dream :) hey if only eh?
I know what you mean, its like they cant believe it! and they are meant to help.
It comes around so quickly! we booked our venue when it was 2 and a half years and now its only like under 11 months! Its actually scary!!! We are paying for most of the deposits, BM dresses, tables decorations etc etc ourselves and our honeymoon. both parents are paying for venue, well most of it... which is fab!!! we are so lucky that way :)
Hope your getting on okay today, will look forward to hearing your money saving updates :)

Well done btw! Have a lovely weekend!
  • I'm actually getting passed from pillar to post over this tax carry on - I'm getting so annoyed!! i've spent the day going from tax office to old employer, finally got the correct person, only for her to say - I need your payroll number, can't do anything without it! Surely they must have some other way of finding me on their system!!?? Bloody unhelpful if you aks me!

You sound exactly the same as us Emma - our parents are paying for pretty much all of the venue (save for maybe £500 or something!) - we're paying the rest. Stupid me got carried away though and I now have 7 bridesmaids! Whoops!! Thankfully my sis' are paying for my 3 niece's dresses, so that only leaves me four to buy! Didn't really think that through though before I asked them all! :D

You have a lovely weekend too! Hope you're doing something exciting! It's a bank hol up here - really looking forward to Monday off! - Although not so much to payday rolling around minus the day's pay! but hey ho - can't have it every way! :)
