Why can't they just write it in plain English??!

I saw something in a women's magazine recently and it's inspired me no end!
It basically said about re-designing "a new you". For some reason the phrase has really stuck in my mind and I started thinking about what I wanted to be. I've reached an age where the kids are adults and I've spent so much time being a mum and wife that I sometimes feel I've lost the real me and my identity. I have tried to rediscover "me" (i.e pre marriage and pre kids) but I've forgotten who I ever was or what I ever wanted.
Anyway, the article made me see it differently. I can't turn the clock back (and, to be honest, I don't really want to). So, instead, I imagined I was doing one of those questionnaires which ask about hobbies, lifestyle etc. and I've now come up with the beginning of what I would like to see as the "new me" and what appeals to me.
So, here goes -
Hobbies - running, reading, cinema, yoga, pilates, (must think of some more!)
Confident and fun-loving lady who enjoys life
Change my make-up so it suits me NOW and not when I was 20 years younger!
Someone who dresses elegantly and to suit her body shape but also manages to dress fashionably.
Well, it's short and to the point but Rome wasn't built in a day and the list is work in progress to get me started.
So, baby steps....
I've started checking out my wardrobe and been honest about what colours and shapes suit me (with some help from the lovely Mr Gok and his TV programmes!). I'm going to add 1 piece of clothing to my wardrobe each month and e-bay stuff that has had it's day. (I might book a personal shopper for this part of the transformation). I'm also going to have a makeover at one of the department stores to give me ideas about make-up.
I'm going to LIGHTEN UP! I'm going to keep a diary for the next month to see what I enjoy and what makes me happy so I can do more of it.
It's the first time I've been excited about the future rather than feeling overwhelmed about wanting to enjoy life but not quite knowing how and where to start so..... here's to the re-designed me!£5 per day challenge

I found out what my dream about being lost is NY means. I'm feeling powerless or unsure what direction to take in my life and the NY bit An event or memory that happened there, or that brings that city to mind. Consider what the particular city means to you personally.
Hmm, I suppose it beats sleep walking!0 -
Claire, you are doing a great job with the weight loss and you'll ghave enough stock for the Big Cheese.
