Busy couple of days, with work combined with hair disaster night followed by a 4 hour 'put hair right' session last night. I now have VERY dark hair (very similar to my avvy
) that has a lovely ruby port shine in the sunlight. Bit of a disaster really all round. I got up yesterday morning and it looked even worse in the daylight. Wore it pinned up at the front to work which hid the big blonde patch and the bleach bleed (where the bleach had seeped from the packet across the red sections of hair) but when they were sorting it out they looked under my hair and found more bleeds underneath. Utterly awful. It was dyed, cut and then re-dyed a darker shade again as the first cover up didn't really touch it.
Got the details through for the interview. I have to do a 10 minute presention on 'information design' , my understanding of it and 3 uses for it in the organisation I'm going to. Seems I have a busy weekend ahead really, reading up on the charity, reading up on what information design is and then thinking about and putting the presentation together. The job description is so management speak I had to sit earlier and write next to each line what I thought it meant. I mean - this is a couple of the responsibilities (FC4S is the department)
' Monitor the use of FC4S portfolio, messages and resources to gauge activity and identify new methods and processes to increase awareness and propensity to give for all organisation FC4S elements'.
I wrote 'keep tabs on how popular stuff is and find new stuff' :rotfl:
'Manage a range of supporting resources for each FC4S element to compliment the online portfolio and act as the central copy approval manager for all FC materials'
I wrote 'look after stuff that goes online and approve copy'
Why can't they just write it in plain English??!

How on Earth am I going to be able to teach and help severely bullied children when a nasty remark that hits a bit too close to home makes me want to not get out of bed for the rest of the day?
(see FB for details)
Also, on a happier note, I've got Sun night off work so I can come to the meet! :j Where are we meeting, btw? As in, what pub are we spending the whole day in?
And it might be an idea for those of us who don't know what at least one person who's going looks like through FB to swap numbers with someone so they can arrange a place to meet them, perhaps the train station or the pub in question. We don't want a repeat of my Manchester incident. :rotfl:
