Thanks all, and I will give my poor hard working builders/carpenters the chance to finish their work.

    :)

Ahhh you have seen sence :T, if you go around before the job has been finished shooting your mouth off its gonna get up the tradesmens noses and you dont want that, gotta say that if you had a pop at my work before the work was finished id tell ya where to stick it, just remember providing these are bonafide tradesmen they have years of experience between them and dont want some "trumped up" developer gobbing off at them.

Sorry to rant but im glad you have seen sence.
You may click thanks if you found my advice useful

I was sort of asking advice here, before I made a fuss. I made it clear to my builder that I wasn't sure, but was just checking. We have a good relationship, and still do.

This forum is a great source of advice to say 'don't be so stupid' or 'go with your gut', and I was just asking for some opinions!

I will now just continue to be pleased to have good contractors!

The Op is correct in worrying, and personally I wouldnt give you the time of day, as you come across as one mean hombre, with your attitude, I expect to see you on 'Rogue builders'
