Am I too fussy... (It turns out yes!)

Hi
I am in the middle (or hopefully near the end) of a big renovation project and they are just starting to put in some of the finishes. I am not sure how fussy to be about the details or if there is another stage to come, but some of it looks a bit imprecise.
Can anyone here let me know your thoughts?

I know its not TERRIBLE, but I am paying a lot of money for the project, and I think the finish is quite important...
Anyway, tell me if I am being too fussy, or can complain!
Thanks

p.s. And as a side issue... how to I insert pictures??!

Go advanced and choose the add image link."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
No, you're not too fussy. You're entitled to have the job done properly and to a high standard. I think you ought to tell the builder you want it fixed. We wouldn't by clothes if there was one seam unstitched. Why should you accept shoddy workmanship?0

There still looks to be some finishing off to do yet, working on building sites I have seen far worse, the gaps and fixing holes on the skirtings still need filling yet and the gap around the architrave is easily sorted with decorators caulk which is a flexible filler.
When its all done and dusted then do the snagging and do it with a fine toothcomb. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Hm. Doesn't seem to like Flickr."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

Why is that shoddy workmanship ? its clearly unfinished ! unless the builder has asked it to be signed off then thats a different matter, but until the holes are filled and sanded etc then theres no reason to complain at all, just let the builder and painter be until he says its finished, for gawds sake ! :mad:You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
I don't think so. They probably don't have the server space."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

first two just needs some attention (decorators caulk) last one , not too keen but as muckybutt says give the guys a break and wait and see the final result.0

I know it's unfinished, but I have never done such a big job, and I rather raise it (if necessary) while it's still easy to change and re-do if needed.
I don't mind the holes etc, in fact I didn't notice them, I just think some of the poor joins won't be fixable later. They will just all be filled in and look a bit different rather than neat sharp lines.
I will definitely raise it with the builder, just wanted a few comments from the great and good of MSE!0 -
Going back to the example of the architrave and the gap ,I would have no worries about
using decorators caulk. Talk to the builder , but also listen.0
