Exchanged points for Amazon voucher codes which either didn't work or never arrived

Managed to buy a TV/DVD and a standalone DVD player with mine last year.

Removed Amazon vouchers (their most popular reward) with a load of more expensive rewards

and Lightspeed got rid of B&Q vouchers......their most popular reward.

Constantly raised the threshold for claiming rewards so that it is now extremely rare to find anyone who has managed to accumulate enough points to redeem

So have Lightspeed. whilst other cash for clicks have reduced the number or value of the clicks

Removed the 75 points for test registration on the grounds that they would be offering more expensive rewards such as TVs and DVD players - then offered tests for such exotic and expensive items as a car air freshener, smarties, some stickers, a toothbrush, mini highlighters, a razor and a coffee filter

Points for doing nothing.....Like anyone realy expected that to last.

Have been promising a free Sudoku on the site for at least a year now with no sign of it ever materialising

Instead of waiting go to https://www.google.com and put the following words in, 'Sodoku freeware'. I get 1,680,000 hits!

Have 'exceptionally extended their 'Christmas' Prize Draw until 15th January (presumably because they can't afford to buy any of the promised prizes)

And of course they are the first company in history to extend a closing date!

All this - and we are expected to be concerned about possible suspension of our account? The most I am EVER going to be able to exchange my points for is 120 ipoints which is worth in real terms about £5.00

If you fully update your profile you will get 500 for any that at present are incomplete.

I also have written reviews on various sites, but if it gets abused then either the rewards are reduced or withdrawn, and as I spend time and effort to earn the rewards and they are nice little earner for me, my wallet would be a lot lighter over the course of a year.

I have read all iof your 5 posts on MSE with considerable interest. I am sure you will win many friends with your positive and friendly attitude.

It is pleasing to hear of someone whose experience with T&V is so positive and rewarding. I am sure you will continue to benefit after the rest of us have all cashed in and left.

They would have to prove you weren't going to rate the reviews anyway.
If you are like me, you read as many reviews as you can and rate them because you hope that will be what others are doing. You can rate as not interesting if you find them not to be, it is still a rating. I will pick a good review and click on that persons name to read their other reviews to rate too because they are a good read.
I think it is a bit low down of them to increase the points needed for a reward. There is no explanation of why they have done this. It isnt just a little bit either it is 50% more.
Noone is saying 'everybody come and look at mine ,you have to rate them', they are saying 'please can you rate some of mine'?
They are not saying 'I'll rate all of yours regardless of relevance and if you do I will , they are saying , I'll go take a look at yours too'.
It's great that you do so well out of it Kevinwj but other people have not had such good experiences and when they question the company, they are ignored.
I have done 4 surveys for them and been credited with 3, the other one my son did with great reluctance because they wanted a teen in the family to answer the questions. He wont be doing another one for them for free you can be sure.

I'm not organised enough to keep my survey invites and track which ones I'm paid for, and chase up those I'm not!, but am certainly aware of only being paid for one or two every couple of months whilst completing considerably more.... I'm also having problems obtaining my rewards. Recieved this today

'Thank you for your email. Usually you should receive the voucher within one month. In this case however our order to HMV has been delayed which is why we haven’t been able to send out the vouchers yet. You should however receive the voucher in a few more weeks. I’m sorry for the delay.'

so still being vague on a timescale... I strongly suspect the site will just disappear altogether in the not to distant future. I wouldn't bother desperately trying to scrabble together enough points to cash out cause I suspect we are already too late.

My ID over at T&V is newjanet, and if anyone could spare the time over the nest few days to check out an opinion I wrote tonight (probably won't appear until tomorrow) then it's listed under Opinion/Finance/Banking/Banks&Building Societies/Bank of Scotland. There are now lots of new categories which have been added recetly, so as a previous poster mentioned, this is probably the best way to accumulating additional points to cashout now.

kevinwj, I found Lightspeed to be even more useless than T&V! Very poor communication, rewards never turning up, points never being credited, rewards request process taking forever. Poor! They never even gave rewards! they only offered 'draws' not too long ago.

Agree that Lightspeed are a bit pants these days - there's an MSE forum where users have been very vocal in their complaints the past couple of weeks - me included! Some poor souls have been waiting since September for vouchers!

I went and had a look at this opinion and you know, even though I have NO INTEREST in football at all I thought it was quite interesting and well deserving of the points. Almost made me want to go and try it just the once!You ought to write some more. I am so clueless about footie I didn't even know where to find Aston Villa they assume you know they are a Premiership team - well I didn't! Anyhow I learnt a bit today!
