Please don't take the sarcasm seriously - it's not meant to offend and remember that some old-timers on here have seen it all, a million times before and probably can seem a bit jaded! I agree entirely. I hope the OP doesn't think my comments were in any way disparaging of him, as they were not intended to be.
I just wish that products such as these, marketed with no sound evidence of any effectiveness whatsoever, did not keep turning up every few years to snare unsuspecting folk. There is a degree of 'caveat emptor' for certain, but people will still fall for these schemes without ever thinking it through and realisisng why they simply cannot work.0 -
Well Op if you ask a silly question you get silly replies.0

i understand if you pass a hydrocarbon through a magnetic field it BRIEFLY ' ionises' ie the molecules bond more tightly together and burn more effeciently. an example of this is using a petrol lighter on any setting say medium up flick on the flame, then hold a quite powerful magnet to the lighter 'fuel tank'. now flick again- you should get a marked difference in flame hight and probably colour.remember always -'' life shrinks or expands in proportion to ones courage''0

Manufacturers spend billions of pounds making their cars as efficient as possible, if a tiny magnet could do all this do you really think the manufacturers would overlook this?????
If you buy one of these things your an idiot and the people you buy it from will be laughing all the way to the bank!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

hmmm, magnetic field overcomes nuclear molecular forces and makes fuel more dense....
Well, being a firm believer in the witchcraft they call chemistry I can sort of see this is possible if you have a super conducting magnet similar to the ones they have at Cern or the Large Hadron Collider but they aren’t very portable and the running costs would far outway any benefit on your Vauxhall Astra.
Also, I thought it was generally the case that things burn better is there is lots of space between molecules so gases burn better than liquids and liquids burn better than solids so we cook on gas, burn petrol in cars and coal in fires.
Every fool knows that if you compress something to make the molecules move closer to each other it burns less well or even goes out.
Smokers can test this theory by lighting a cigarette then forcing the molecules closer to each other using a foot, inspection of the now compressed ciggy will reveal it is no longer burning. Similar logic applies to trees, try and burn one whole and it’s hard work, chop it up into little bits and it burns much better.0 -

Now got a burn in my carpet
Cigarette definatley went out though!

i actually only posted this as it was something i had never heard of before and just wanted a general opinion. not a pile of sarcastic comments in reply!!
u may think your witty, but it really will put people off asking for help and advice if this is what they think they will get back!! so much for a helpful forum!!!!!!!!!!!!
why not be polite and simply state, no - they do not work for xxxxxxxx reason and leave it nice and simple for people to read and understand? witty, clever, no thanks!
to the few people that did give clear, un-opinionated and polite advice, thanks loads
i do believe i didnt mention buying or even thinking of buying, just that i had never heard of them before, so if i hadnt, then maybe there were other people out there the same and just didnt like to ask - now i knw why they probably didnt!
Why didn't you just do site search ? that would have saved everyone typing out their sarcastic/funny comments again !!!
It also would have been FAR quicker for you !0
