Quirky house- good or bad

I'm perusing rightmove, dreaming about houses I'll never afford, and came across this house. I liked it from the off (never mind the price :)) but couldn't figure out why it was being described as 'unusual/quirky/unique'

Then I read the brochure - and it made sense...

What are your opinions MSE??

Maybe it's because of the shape of the house, with it not being a squarish shape?

I don't get it, so what if one bedroom is being used as a sitting room? You are buying the house not the furniture.

Firefox - it's Unique Selling Point (I think) is the shape -if you look at the brochure you can see the plans- does anyone fancy living in a trapezoid house?
Saying that, that kitchen is squeezed into that thar corner...

I just can't get my head around the room size/shape - I think living there, would make me feel like Alice in Wonderland:rotfl:

it's like a farmhouse and a castle got together and had a baby 'farstle'.

If you look at the kitchen piccie, you will see that the end wall is only about 1.3 metres long - that is the far right of the external pic/narrow end of the house and it widens from there.

There are quite a lot of places where end terraces have very strange shapes, as they fit into the diagonal space left by roads that join at an angle.

Nice house shame about the location.

It's very near a busy corner and just off Kettering Road which is a main route in and out of the town centre road so expect a lot of noise (traffic and walkers) 24/7, parking problems during normal business hours, also noise from walkers using the street as a shortcut to and from the Racecourse Park at all hours.

Add to this a lot of houses in that area are house-shares (students etc.) or have been split in to flats.

What floorplan? There is no floorplan. How can people know what the layout is .... and discuss it ... there's no floorplan. I'm lost.

Not a nice house though anyway.
