I've booked it with the chipsaway guy tomorrow. He has a full workshop in a business park in the city center and seems genuine enough... I'm worried I might somehow make it worse.. so £90 to get it done sounds good to me.

Hopefully he'll treat any other minor issues on the bonnet (i'll ask), but most importantly if it gets done properly I'll be happy. I'm most worried that i'll pay and it doesn't look much better and he says "that was the risk" or something..

He also said it would be about £300 to get a professional re-spray apparently so I think this is worth the try!

So ****ed off with myself though!!!!!!!!!!! Guess we all learn somehow :)

Once it is done you know that really expensive paint treatment the delaer offered, supagard, g3, autoglym, a glaze, diamondbrite etc. That will protect help against this but don't buy off dealer search on ebay and buy a kit and do it yourself.
