BLue Badge

If they provide spaces for people with disabilities they should be for all people with disabilities, not just those with blue badges.
Just because they "should" doesn't mean they "do"
So you mean it's your opinion that they should. My opinion is that they go only to the most severely disabled which the BB scheme covers, the government and I are of the same opinion on this matter.
The DDA is about making reasonable adjustments, there is no discrimination with blue badge parking.Only 3% of those registered blind in the UK have zero vision.0 -

So you are happy to discriminate against those with disabilities but no blue badge?
What do you mean by "severely disabled"?0 -

Whatever the criteria happens to be for a blue badge. If you're trying to pick a fight with me you've won. I'm out, have a nice day.

you might of read my other post on this issue nd know my views on this . the question that needs to be asked is if people need wider spaces and dropped curbs ? as people in chairs need.
a good system could be a colour coded one i.e blue badge for elderly or painful walkers, in normal width spaces then maybe red badges for wheelchair users ONLY!who need wide spaces and dropped curbs. it doesnt matter to me if these are close to the shops or not as long as i can get out of my car into my chair
Many non-wheelchair using disabled people need wder spae too. How do you expect a crutch / stick user to get out of a car?Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Its sad but people will always misuse things no mateer what. And they will always have an excuse. I try to accept that as it simply saves me getting very frustrated on lack of consideration and misuse.0
