I ordered one of these LCD tellies on the 2nd october, looked on the website monday and it said 'order fulfilled' and it came yesterday!!!!!!!!
I installed it today and it has a fantastic picture on it,no bleed at all whilst watching the footie on sky tonight. Also watched a DVD on it and again it was superb. It goes to show that the tv was set up very badly instore.
I am going to run my xbox 360 on it on saturday so that will test it fully, overall i am very very pleasantly surprised and pleased.

Managed to find a tesco with the newer model of this tv instock yesterday. Got it home and plugged it in.. WOW.. very nice quality from the HD side of the Xbox 360.. ramped it up to 1080P and it looks jaw droppingly good.

tv signal is obviously only as good as your arial signal but looks great to me!

  • Just been and picked it up. Nice picture. Would have been nicer with a black stand on it though.

Collected mine in Belfast today as a Christmas present for my dad.

I think he'll be very pleased with it (I would be).

Now to invest in some decent cables...

Thanks, but the only problem is that Woollies took my money out on the 28th October. Still no reply to my email to them either. Does anyone have a contact number so I can talk to a human being? I want answers.....

That TV from Argos looks good. My mum recently started a job at Argos so i'll get £40 discount if I go for that telly, but the only problem is getting my money back from Woolworths.

I'll definately be writing a letter of complaint when all this is over.

Have you really got 1080p on this tv? if so by what connection - vga or component? my local has one of these and if it does 1080p then its mine.

Woolies have today cancelled my order, without giving sufficient reason (ie basically I can pick my own from the list.

This item has been cancelled for one of the following reasons:
    1. We are unable to fulfil the total quantity you ordered (e.g. if you ordered 5 and we only have 4 in stock). Despite our efforts to locate the required stock, we have been unable to fulfil your order for this product. In order to avoid continued disappointment we have cancelled this part of your order on your behalf. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience or confusion caused.
    2. You have used the cancel order button on the website.
    3. You have asked us to cancel this item for you.
    4. Some of the details you have supplied us are incorrect and may result in delivery problems if we proceed.
    5. We have been unable to validate your billing details with those supplied by your card issuer or our merchant.
    6. You have not responded to the "Problems Processing Your Order" email within the stated time limit.
    7. You have not responded to the "Request For Information" email within the stated time limit.

What a useless bag of b@llocks they are. None of the reasons above are valid, esp as they told me delivery would be 16/11.

So I popped a wee disgruntled message off to them..

    Dear Woolworths,

Your customer service is quite possibly the worst I have ever encountered.

You giving me SEVEN possible reasons for you cancelling my order gives no one with half a brain the opportunity to work out why you have cancelled it.

As I was advised my order would be in stock on 16 NOV, surely you're not that stupid that you told me a lie (which I have the e-mail as proof of) and suggest that you cannot fulfill my order.

Goodness knows who taught you lot how to conduct business.

I shall ensure I never EVER bring my custom to your ineptitude again, and I shall bring it to the attention of my associates, to make sure they also do not have the misfortune of shopping with you.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

If I don't get a reply tomorrow i'll be ringing the number on the following, in the hope I can get an answer. If I don't, i'll be asking for details of their complaints department.

PS... I've heard that Woollies are in deep financial trouble and if they don't make a profit over xmas, then we could see stores being shut down left, right and centre. :)
