yeh i ordered mine on 1st oct too- duno wots happened to it... at the moment only have a 21 inch (or even smaller) to play my xbox with, not good at all.

Ordered one on the 1st Oct also, and the official line as of 26th Oct is:
"Hi, thank you for your e-mail. I can confirm that the expected date of arrival for the television has now been pushed back to; on or around 16/11/06. I can not as yet guarantee a delivery date but I can advise you that the delivery will be on or around that date. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause. Kind regards Mohammed ... Multi-Channel Retail Adviser"

Very dissapointed by this, obviously not a very good stock control system, in my personal opinion it should have had a closer cut off at which point it stopped taking orders. Not up for that wait, so I'm off to Aria this weekend, higher contrast ratio for £40 more, if you can afford the extra it's certainly not a waste.
  • when i rang them they said it had been dispatched so gonna give em to this weekend to sort there self out if not i go look somewhere else i agree they should have a cut off date instead taking asll these order they should cut the date once they sold out then when they got more stock in they should of resold them i dont think i will order from them again simply ebcasue if i order stuff for xmas how do i know they will get to me on time and they wont push the data back so not worth the hassel

    Hi Guys,

Just to let you know, the Technosonic is now on Tesco.com, but out of stock at the moment:

    Hi all

I purchased the Tesco Technosonic on Wednesday.

    Full details at

    http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=394834&page=74

Went into the large Tesco Extra at 6.30 on Wednesday, they had only just put it out and there were no prices on the edge at this time.

I asked a guy to scan it to see how many were in stock, which he replied 1!!!! and the display model. This is quite strange as they only just got it in and this Tesco is the biggest in the county!!

Although the spec in Tesco said 2 HDMI there is only one, which I found upon opening the box, couldn't check in store as it was on the top shelf.

The style reminds me of the Panasonic models.

  • A quick question, and I maybe missing the point here.

If this set is HD ready and HD has 1080 lines how come the panel resolution is 1366 x 768 Pixels ?

Shouldn't the second figure 1080 (or something close, I don't know how much underscan there is, if any, on HD) to handle the number of lines in the HD picture ? If there are less than 1080 pixels aren't we going to get less than one line to a line (if you follow) which makes the HD thing a bit pointless ?
