Floss Congratulations to you Ds you must be so proud of his achivements.I will raise a glass to him tonight
Thank you all for your kind wishes today I have been so lucky with all of my memories of my late OH .My two Dds have been texting me all day to ensure I am keeping cheeful and my pal has been an absolute brick..I have known her for over 40 years and she was my DDs childminder when I went back to work in the early 1970s.we have stayed good friends since then and have got through some good and bad times, she is a real diamond .
Eldest DD sent me some flowers this morning, and youngest DD is coming to see me after work even though she started at 7.30 this morning and won't get to me until gone 7 tonight.I have been very blessed with my family, and couldn't have had a greater legacy than my family .
Even one of my neighbours popped a card through the door this morning, I think I am such a lucky lady to have so many friends both on and offline.
Thank you all again
God Bless

Aww Jackie that brought tears to my eyes. You've been blessed with a lovely family because they are a product of their upbringing, you're a great girl, yourself.

Afternoon all
Bizarre weather here - rain then sunshine all day and now thunder & lightening.
Thanks for the kind words yesterday.
((hugs)) JackieO
big congrats to Floss's DS!
I finished my 10 day course today :j I am now officially a Recognised Learning Coach, I need to do 5 written assignments and then I'll become an Accredited Learning Coach. Should have these done by Sept.
I've spoken to my letting agent and I am renewing the contract on my flat for another year :j. I love my flat so I'm pleased with that. Plus I've amassed so much stuff I couldn't face moving! :rotfl:
OS wise - I need to majorly tidy, sort out the paperwork from this course and file it away, sort out some other paperwork. I also need to put DW on. I've just had some nachos as I was starving when I got in, may have a jacket spud later if I'm hungry again.
Have a good evening all

Now that I have perfected the Leek and Potatoe and Lentil and Bacon soup am going to look for another type to make. Noone has complained about the L&P in fact I never even got any of last lot as kids ate it all lol One 2 of us like Lentil so have to make less as ended up throwing half of it out
Doe
A carton of passata or two tins of chopped tomatoes blended
about a litre & a half of stock made with swiss boullion stock powder
a few handfuls of frozen mixed veg (the type with green beans/sweetcorn/peas in)
and a fistful of dried spaghetti broke into bits (or any other bag ends of dried pasta)
Bring to boil and simmer for about 20-30 minutes
