    Hello peeps

Im at work and slowly going through the daily. I did start writing a post, but our maintenance man accidently unplugged my pc so lost it all. Plonker!

Ive been measured for my foot support/insoles yesterday, should be ready next month. I have to start looking at buying different shoes in order to allow for extra depth at the front to allow room for them.....

My dog is doing fine, she is eating well, and her blood loss from her drain has slowed down too. She's at the vets in the morning for a check up. What started out as £650 bill, has now gone up to £998.84  but she's worth it. I just hope the pet insurance pays out sooner rather than later.

I had to take my DS to A&E yesterday afternoon, he sustained a head injury at school, and it wouldn't stop bleeding. Nothing that a bit of glue to seal the wound and paracetemol for his headache. He is fine.

I did Baked spud with beans & cheese for dinner y'day. Tonights meal will be pork chops with veg. followed by fresh fruit salad.

JackieO - sending you lots of love & hugs, so pleased you've had your friend around to keep you busy
wmf - I hope your doggy is feeling better after bringing up what is was in his system, and that DS picks up soon too
N9eav - sorry to hear of another loss in your family.
HH - have fun with the work's experience
redruby - that sounds hillarious, I would love to seen you in fancy dress, and the look on your DD's friend's face! So pleased it went well.
    taplady (((hugs)))
beemuzed - hahaha - know the feeling - a virtual life!
doelani - Im not surprised you blew your top.
Floss - FANTASTIC NEWS - WELL DONE TO DS2
csarina - don't worry too much about your weight gain, I sometimes find some days I retain a lot of water, then come the next day - its gone. I cant advise what snacks to munch on, but I always make sure I have lots of fresh fruit or salad chopped up in the fridge for my munchies. Good look and keep up the good work.

Right, I best get some work done
    Take care
    Love Em x

  • Afternoon All

I have had a busy morning - All the housework is done and I have been to town, but have got to go again tomorrow because what I thought was deoderant for DH was shaving gel (no use to a man with a beard :rotfl:)
Currently looking for a new car which isn't easy on a limited budget :(

Redruby ROFLMAO I bet it scared the poor lad to death :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

N9eav I hope that all goes well today and that your mum gets through it ok.

Topsy I hope that the weather is kind to you - Good Luck for Friday x Don't forget to share the photos with us :)

    Morning!
I am indulging in a proud mum moment - DS2 finally got his degree results yesterday, he's is now the proud (and dyslexic) achiever of a BA (Hons) 2:1 in Religion Philosophy & Ethics :D :T :j
His graduation is in December (no idea why but as his college is in London it will be good for Christmas shopping!) and he's now deciding what his next move is, PGCE or MA & PGCE.....either way, it looks like his mum will be supporting him for a bit longer! One of these days I will be able to save for MY future, not spend my money on theirs! :rotfl:

Oh well done to your DS Floss. I know just how hard kids with dyslexia work as DD (17) is the same and tries really hard.

I having a proud Mummy moment too as I have sat and watched my DD play with Mooloo's DGD this morning and it was lovely to watch the interaction between them. It brought back some very happy memories as I had got kids dad to get old dolls house and train set out of the loft. Im not sure who was having the most fun DD or DGD of Mooloo. It made me realise that my DD is going to be a wonderful mother (if that is her destiny) and I was very proud of her as she had a lovely way.
She also got her PT job so is feeling very positive at the moment.

Not much else OS to report. Its blowing a gale here now and is very chilly. Hope everyone is doing ok xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Afternoon,

    Congratulations Young Mr Floss!

    JackieO...hugs

Ruby....you are a brave woman....mine would have had me in a straight jacket if I did something like that!

Topsy....have a lovely day on Friday and all good wishes for your future happiness.

N9eav...hope that today goes as well as can be expected...funerals very much in the news here as 8 people were killed in an accident in Donegal at weekend, 7 in one car between the ages of 19 and 23.

OH cooked a huge fry this morning...wasn't able to finish it so dinner will be late and light, not sure what yet, probably some pasta.

Warm enough here to-day, light showers to slow OH's progress with putting up the gazebo, with 2 small ones around next week who like to be out and about it will mean that they can play outside come rain or shine and we can eat out there as well...can't remember for the life of me why we didn't buy a 'pop-up' one as it seems to take ages to put it up....allegedly its a one person job but every so often I will here 'are you there?' and will have to help out.

Have managed to clean most of the en-suite in DD2's room, just need to mop floor, clean basin and make beds....just remembered, need to tighten screws on curtain pole...keeps moving so something needs doing.

Did myself a spread sheet last night, keep track of food shopping all right but never seem to know what I am spending money on otherwise, started with Monday's spends am going to fill in what I have spent each day on anything, only way to keep myself up to date on what is left in individual pots, as Martin's idea of several bank accounts is fine but wouldn't work here as there is a tax on each account. Am determined to know where all my money goes from now on.

One wash load nearly finished another to go in, it will dry sometime, hate having stuff hanging around waiting to be washed....actually ironed 2 shirts belonging to OH and 2 tops of mine yesterday, will make sure that things are well shaken when they are going on line so that I can get away with no ironing this week!

Hope that PP is doing ok in hospital, that Noah has settled in school, that Diva comes back to us soon and that all who are feeling down for any reason come back to us soon.

A very grey day here too. Hope it gets all the rain out of the way before Friday as at 4pm I get married. All the glorious sunshine we have had and it predicts rain all this week. Never mind, I will take an umbrella!

I got married in June at 4pm. The day of my wedding we had rain, thunder AND hailstones  Was not a happy bunny but it turned out dry in the end. Hope it does for you too but I am sure it will be a fantastic day whatever the weather :D Look forward to seeing the pics ;)

Am on the old upstairs PC and boy is it slow. I can't even view FB on it properly :(
Had a review with the school this morning re DS and his transition to Reception. They seem really prepared so I hope things go a smoothly for him as possible.
Tea tonight will be something with left over ham - I suspect we will be eating this for a week as it was so big LOL. Have got tap class tonight so will be case of eating on the run.
Have done my usual vac downstairs, hung a load of washing on airer (not risking outside - it's muggy and warm but knowing my luck it will tip it down once I hang it up) and done a general tidy round. Really can't get motivated to do anything lately. I don't know what's the matter with me. My get up and go has gone
Made some Millies style cookies this morning so am having to mentally resist eating all of them (which is an easy thing to do......eating them I mean ;))
Other than all that not much else going on. Isn't my life exciting :rotfl:

Floss - well done to your DS :T:T:T:T

JackieO - thinking of you xxx

WMF - hugs to you xx

Doe - how about tomato soup? Simple and easy to make and far more tasty than in a can (plus if you don't add cream it's point free on WW and just think of all those excellent lycopenes (sp?) that are so good for you)

Camelot - Hugs re the loss of your uncle xx

N9eav - hope the funeral goes as well as can be expected xx

I am sure I have missed something important so apologies if I have.
Hugs to those that need them, to those MIA, Diva, Ladygrim, NPM. Has Bargainbird been around latey???

Have a lovely afternoon OS or not.
