Morning everyone
Hope everyone is doing ok this morning. Been heavy rain here all night and due to be like that all day so just as well got all my washing done yesterday.
Hubby has been at home last 4 days and I feel liek I have been going around in circles , I blew my top yesterday when he said he had " only one job to do today" and I ahd about 20 thinkgs to do . His one job was somehting that has taken him 4 weeks to do. The air was blew as then when he asked what I wanted him to do I told him to open his eyes and see what needed done , of course he could see nothing
Why clean the windows at back of house when noone sees them ?
Why clean inside the cupboard as nooone see it ?
Why hoover the stairs, they where done last week and do not LOOK dirty.
Apparently I make work for myself. I like a tidy house, when phyically able I take a room at a time and ive it a good clean, but I am a clean freak !!!!
ok rant over lol
So today list
MrA for a few things.
Hoover bedrooms
Clean bathroom
Make HM soup for tonight's dinner ( already have most of the stuff)
Tidy under my stars.
I usually have stepkids and grandson on tuesday/wednesday but put them off this week until thursday/friday so will try and get house cleaned before they come then once they go can do it all again lol

Morning!
I am indulging in a proud mum moment - DS2 finally got his degree results yesterday, he's is now the proud (and dyslexic) achiever of a BA (Hons) 2:1 in Religion Philosophy & Ethics:T :j
His graduation is in December (no idea why but as his college is in London it will be good for Christmas shopping!) and he's now deciding what his next move is, PGCE or MA & PGCE.....either way, it looks like his mum will be supporting him for a bit longer! One of these days I will be able to save for MY future, not spend my money on theirs! :rotfl:
Not much OS going on - spend 2 hours yesterday sorting my floordrobe out, also got rid of 2 portable TVs we don't use or need so shuffled stuff around to make more storage space. Currently working our way through the freezer, it's nice to be able to find stuff in there and cross things off the list! I have to avoid the temptation to buy Y/S things when I see them in Tesco though, as OH has threatened to put me in there if I fill it right up again before we've emptied it! :rotfl:0 -
Well done to your DS Floss

Morning all..........................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Very dank morning, we have had quite a bit of rain in the night, the puddle is back on the corner, OH cut the grass yesterday, he wants to put some weedkiller on it......hopefully it will clear during the day, it has saved me having to water. The artemsia is now almost 6ft tall, I am going to cut it down and dig it out, its 3ft across, its taking up too much room and in the wrong place. The wind has dropped a bit but boy its a grey day, much cooler than it has been. Not sure what OH is going to do, the picnic table/jigsaw table has been cleaned and is down the side of the freezer in the boot room, so guess that may be due an outting.
Quilting group this afternoon, as its raining I will be sewing binding on a set of place mats and taking them with me to sew the binding down.
I am not sure if perhaps I am not eating enough, my weight seems to have gone up, but what do you have for a snack if you are low carbing??? last night we had cold salmon and salad and HM banana yogurt with a few strawberries and raspberries from the garden.......I was 13st 1 this morning up from 12st 13 3/4lbs on Sunday.......gggggrrrrrr.
Floss just seen your post congratulations to your son, you must be so proud of him!!Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning everyone
A very grey day here too. Hope it gets all the rain out of the way before Friday as at 4pm I get married. All the glorious sunshine we have had and it predicts rain all this week. Never mind, I will take an umbrella!
Seem to be running from 1 place to another this week. My friend and her son arrived from France on Monday and is staying at my mum's till next Tuesday, so have been trying to be a good host, but not doing very well. Got dresses to collect today and have my final fitting. Also got to pack for my honeymoon in Italy.
Need to clean the house as well today. I am making dinner tonight for everyone so going to do spinach & peppar risotto(done in oven) with salad and fruit salad for dessert.
Redruby - Thankyou for your good wishes. I like your style re dd boyfriend:rotfl:.
Floss2 - well done to your ds:T - you must be so proud.
Beemuzed & wmf - hugs to you both.
jc2703 - Hope you feel brighter soon. I have been like that for the past week -((crabby with everyone)).
PP - hope you are out of hosp soon.
Diva - thinking of you.
NPM - Hope Noah is a little more settled at school. When My ds2 moved to juniors, he couldn't cope with the change and they took him back down to top infants for a year which worked with him. That year made all the difference.
Jackie - Hope you feel better
I may not get on now for a couple of weeks. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.

Morning All,
Redruby, you are bonkers! :rotfl: Good wishes for you and yours today, n9eav. Hugs for JackieO and wmf and anyone else who feels the need. Big congrats also to Floss's son.
I am off to the Dr's soon, they will be sick looking at me. Lots of washing, tidying and ironing to do today. (boo, hiss) We are meant to be off wigwamming tonight and tomorrow for a break for me, apparently, but the weather is flaming awful so I might just rebel and refuse to go. If not, we will go to the cinema its Orange Wednesday and we can see Shrek. I might be back later, if not, and you don't see me around, you know where I am.
Good luck to Topsy for Friday, have a brilliant day, and all the best for your married life!
Hugs to all.

Morning All
Congratulations Floss for your DS, it's a great feeling isn't it?
Beemuzed and wmf, hope things improve. Jackie O, thinking of you. Redruby, you have done what we would all like to do but I'm sure my kids would disown me for life!!
Had a carp few days, had to go down south for a very dear Uncle's funeral. There is a lot of tension in their family so things were a little tough trying to keep the peace. My Auntie is coming to stay for a few days in a couple of weeks which should give everyone a little space.
Came back late Monday night and had to go to another funeral yesterday for a retired colleague's DH. I have never been to a funeral before where the Minister was a close family friend of the family and it was lovely. Very busy as he was a GP and they have quite a large family, but it was a true celebration of his very full and happy life.
Anyway, hopefully there will be good news somewhere, but maybe not at the opticians for me. I have an appointment today. I have reading glasses which I have been able to do without if I need to but trying to read a map when we were away was totally impossible. Time for a test I think!
Trying to get the house sorted ready to leave again at the weekend for a few days in Marrakech with DD - really need this break after the last few days!
Thanks for listening to my moans and hope you all have a good day, raining here again but did manage to get the grass cut yesterday. XX
Topsy - enjoy your day and have a good honeymoon!!0 -
Well done to your DS Floss
:T:T:T:T:T:T
Thanks to everyone for your good wishes - it is indeed a fantastic feelingHe only got confirmation of his dyslexia when he went to uni, and despite choosing a predominantly written degree, he's done really well, getting firsts in several pieces of work. He's a clever lad and we're very very proud of him
I was going to ask Topsy for her baked spinach & pepper risotto recipe but then realised she will be waaaay too busy to post it for me
Have suddenly got more OSing to do tonight - DS1 has just texted to say that he & his GF are coming for the weekend, he hasn't been since Christmas & its first visit for her, so need to clean the spare room......do I put them in separate rooms or let them share???!!! :rotfl:0 -
Back again folks.
Thanks for hugs.
Floss - Congratulations to your DS -you must be so proud!!! And what good timing for Christmas shopping in London - how considerate.
Hester - you are doing very well taking one helper. I know it's difficult to get work placements for students/ school kids but then I'm not surprised when some places are allocated too many students and actually your own work is put to one side.
Still raining here - very mizz weather indeed and we were cold in the night! It isn't even mid July yet!
Oh - and redruby - goosness me, you have made me smile this morning. I am amazed that your daughter went along with it :rotfl:.
