Morning, mortgage has gone out today so thats another couple of hundred quid off the capital part owing of the mortgage

The rain seems to have stopped although I think I'm likely to get soaked on our trip to the forest today. Never mind, still beats being stuck in a classroom

Today has been a nsd, the weather in the forest was actually quite nice although I've come home with a thumping headache
Jacket spuds are in the oven for a nice easy tea tonight.
I've been looking at some of my budget stuff again tonight and *if* (and I am very aware its a BIG if), ex pays the maintenance he's supposed to pay this month, November and December, then I only need to find another £90 to meet my challenge of reducing the mortgage to £32k by the end of the year :j:j
This may mean I can ease up a bit on the budgets for the next couple of months as Christmas is obviously where things can go more pear-shaped than normal. I always forget to factor in the cost of school photos / xmas meal out with school etc at the end of term.
Now theres a very high chance that I won't get the maintenance money thats projected, but hopefully next week I should get the first chunk of it and that will be a welcome amount if it does come through

Morning all, last night I was shattered and the headache didn't shift, so I went to bed and fell straight aslepp at 8:30  I feel so much better for it this morning, I really must try and get to bed earlier, it makes such a difference to what I eat too when I'm tired

Anyway, I did manage to place a free bet lst night and this morning found that I made £45 profit, so that will go into the holiday fund for October, meaning I just need another £5 for Octobers payment to be done, then I can concentrate on the mortgage again, very pleased with that
Nothing exciting scheduled today, after school we have ds swimming lesson then the trip to tescos. Have fun!Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Glad you got a good nights sleep and that you feel better this morning. I have been sleeping better in recent weeks (apart from this cold) and it has made a huge difference to my outlook on life, and the way I tackle things......or maybe it is the difference in my outlook on life and the way I tackle things that has lead me to sleep better.

Evening all, a good day at school, a good swimming lesson, we decided to leave tescos for another night, ds has cooked lunch on a wednesday so dont need packed lunch stuff for tomorrow so will probably go tomorrow after school instead.
Spends today = £2.50 on lunch, £4 on goggles for ds.
Postie brought me my information pack from Phoenix cards (still thinking about it), so tonight I am going to sit and work out a few sums as to whether its worth giving it a go or not

Morning all, forgot to mention last night, I called the csa to see if he has paid yet this month, and guess what ... he has :j :j They said he paid yesterday so I should receive the money by the 15th

Very pleased to hear that, it will help my mortgage pot enormously this month and means I have a great chance now of meeting my yearly target whether he pays on November / December or not
Bad news, just logged into my ebay account and someone has not received an item I sent in August  I dont have the proof of postage anymore, assumed they'd all been received so have binned them now and had to do a full refund for £15   Bloody royal mail .....Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

bah to the ebay thing, but good news on the csa money. Surely, though, the buyer should have contacted you before now to say that it has not been received? It must be over 6 weeks ago!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. The problem was, Hypno, that I had to set up a new ebay account due to all the stuff to do with ex (his name was still on the account as it was one we had when together), but it wouldn't let me use my email address as already registered, so had to set up a new one. As I haven't sold anything on ebay for about 6 weeks I haven't bothered to log in to it to check ... so I guess it is my fault for not checking the email account, but really its royal mails fault for losing the parcel that I have paid them to deliver for me   The buyer had sent an email but as I hadn't seen it and therefore hadn't replied, she left a neg. Can't blame her really, but its very annoying as I've only got 4 feedbacks now and one of them is a neg (last account had 160 feedback and all were positive)
Anyway, today, we went to tescos after school, I spent £54 in there tonight but about a tenner of that was stuff to put away for xmas. I also filled up with petrol (£35). Other spends today = £2.50 for lunch.
Tonights plan is a bath and an early night, I don't know whats up with me at the moment, I'm shattered all the time

Boo to the ebay thing!
If you are feeling shattered all the time -might be worth a visit to the doctor. I felt like that and it turned out I had an underactive thyroid, daily pills and now I am sorted! And, I read today that Robbie Williams recommends getting your hormones checked when you feel really tired!:rotfl:
