Thanks Pania, am feeling even better right now, have had a fab afternoon due to the footie; Bournemouth won 5-1 :j :j and the nice offer I had made me £56 profit  So I now only have £5 to find to clear Next, and I have one more £5 free bet for the Chelsea match, it probably won't make a huge amount but hopefully will get me a bit nearer; I'm feeling quite excited about moving on to the garage fob and then the holiday fund

£3.50 profit from that offer
So, £1.50 to go before moving on to the next challenge

i am stunned by how much you make on matched betting, i think i will go and have a look.
For any of you thinking of putting your tesco clubcard points into airmiles they are about to change it, i think right now you use 50 points for the first lot of airmiles and it is about to go up to 250 clubcard points for what you used to get for 50. I went in yesterday to use mine, and it is quite complicated now and alot more restricted...i am wondering if they are really going to start withdrawing their amazing offers soon. wonder if this site is getting too successful??
have a great day in London, we were there yesterday and it was very rainy!0 -
Morning all
We had a fab day in London yesterday, the weather was really nice and e spent the whole day with friends from when we lived up there. We left home at 6.15 am and got in at 1am so we're rather shattered today  Ds slept on the coach on the way home (10pm) and only woke up about 20 minutes ago so hopefully won't be too grumpy
We did some touristys walking round, then went to the serpentine and ds went on a rowing boat with one of my friends while we had coffee, then we went to the science museum and did all that; my friend and I bottled out of the red arrows thing, so the other friend took ds on for me
After lunch we did some more of the museum then caught a few buses for a ride around, before a game of frisbee in Hyde Park, McDonalds for tea and then catching the coach home. Ds behaved really well all day, I was very proud of him :T :T
Overall I spent about £40 yesterday, mainly on breakfast, lunch and dinner, (food is soooo expensive in London), but I knew it was going to be expensive so am not too worried.
Today ... postie has brought me my clubcard vouchers (£10.50) so either £40 in deals or £21 ish on ebay; also a water bill (£46) but the money for that is in my pot, and a survey site cheque for £31  so thats Next cleared and £30 towards the garage fob. Today I must check out the sort I need to order and get it done. I think that should cover most of it, may need a little more to go towards it and then I can crack on towards the holiday fund

You go girl.Wow to the matched betting. I did try to look at that, but it was when I was ill, and it was all greek to me. And now of course I probabaly wouldn't be allowed as some sites can tell if you computer is not in the uk boohoo.
Well done on clearing Next in a weekend. Don't understand about the garage fob but I guess I missed that somewhere.
Your tour round London sounds ace. Glad Ds enjoyed it so much. I imagine doing the buses in London must be heaven for him!
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Thanks Chev, the garage fob ... basically I have electronically operated gates and garage and the little fob thing got dropped (ds was practising playing catch with it ) and needs replacing, they are about £40-£50 ish
I've also just called the csa to see whats happening and they said they spoke to him and he's got a new job  so will be paying the arrears on 23rd August (so I probably won't get them until September due to the bank holiday), and then they will need to do a new calculation so payments could be delayed again after that and will be for a new amount. No idea what that will be, can't believe someones employed him tbh ....Mortgage Total: £49,992/ £75,000

Been a busy afternoon, we went school stuff shopping; £32 on school shoes, but it was really quiet in clarks and we were served straight away so not too bad
Another £34 on; mcdonalds for tea, trainers for p.e. for ds, 2 pairs of thick woolly tights for me for the winter, 2 bags of haribo, a new bag for ds for school, a lunchbag and water bottle and various pens ans pencils for both our pencil cases.
All I have left to get now for ds is a white t-shirt for p.e. and his pencil case.
His dad phoned him tonight too and ds asked him where his new job was and he said he hasn't got one, so am now hinking he either jumped or was pushed from the old one, which basically tells me that even if he does pay the arrears at the end of this month then I won't be getting a penny after that if his income has gone down to zero
So, the budgeting tells me that the £438 I was expecting earlier this month will automatically go into the savings pot, and then the extra £85 will also go in and that then will be it unless I hear differently

Morning all, just been doing a quick check of the accounts; for the rest of this month I have £129 left. I went foor shopping yesterday (£28) so we're not too bad for this week foodwise, and I have got most of ds stuff for school now, just need to get his pencil case, p.e. t-shirt and a haircut
, so probably about £12 in total there.
We don't have a huge amount planned for he next two weeks but even so I'm not sure I'll have enough
I'll just have to be careful and watch the pennies
Today we're going to have a go at sorting the garage, maybe a few trips to the tip etc. Weather isn't looking great so may be indoors for some of it too.
I did get the scratchcard money in my bank this morning, I wasn't expecting it tbh, and now have decided to call it a day there, it was good while it lasted :T It also means I now have £38.50 towards the garage fob which is enough but I don't know which sort I need to get, basically there are two identical ones on different mhz, and its supposed to say on it which one I currrently have ... but it doesn't  May need to call someone and try and get it sorted. Now its time to move on to the holiday fund
Am aiming to make £50 towards that before the end of the month and then *if* theres time to make any more pennies then they will either be used to make sure I don't go over budget this month, or if I'm still on track with the spending then they will go into the mortgage pot as the next few months are going to be tricky if theres no maintenance coming in; I am supposed to make £400 towards the mortgage pot and £50 for the holiday pot each month  Mortgage Total: £49,992/ £75,000
