Re. the ferry ... I'm not too good with boats either
.... its lucky ds likes buses and trains isn't it :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'll look in to that, thanks.
My husband was terrified of flying and he did a fear of flying course with Virgin about 4 years ago, it's helped but we've hardly flown since so will be interesting to see how he is the next time we fly.
Oddly though he's obsessed with planes and loves airshows! He's very excited about the airshow next week.
Shame about the ferry!0 -
Just caught up with your last couple of weeks BB, sorry to hear you are still having maintenance problems, but well done on your bets. I also have a fear of flying, you wouldn't believe it all the places I have been to. I think it is because I do not have any control over the plane. We all went to Florida in Jan this year and I spent the whole 9 hours playing on the games they offer on the panel in front of your seat, the time went really quick and I was an expert by the end of the flight. I love going abroad, but tend to get really panicky a week or so before the flight. I only started to get a fear of flying 13 years ago when I was pregnant with DS1, before that I was fine, maybe it's a maternal thing...Make £10 a day challenge - January 2023 = £292.89/£310 - Feb 2023 = £677.09/280 - March 2023 = £102.45/£310 - April = £300.12/300 - May 2023 = £306.80/£310 - June = £245.88/£150 - July = £295.45/£310 - August 2023 £51.56/£3100

Morning

Welshsaver, I've been like it since I was a kid, we had a big family trip to Disney when I was about 12 and I refused to go and spent a fortnight with an aunt in Kent instead while everyone else had a fortnight of theme parks
I had a rubbish nights sleep last night, I couldn't get to sleep for ages and then downstairs baby kept crying, think they're doing that controlled crying thing as they didn't seem in any rush to stop it
Anyway, we're up at silly o'clock which isn't a bad thing as we need a very early night tonight ready for the coach to London tomorrow. Its wet here today so the plan is to mainly have an indoor day, catch up on some housework and get up to date with paperwork and stuff, and get some betting in too
I did a few bets last night towards one offer, hopefully I'll be able to finish tha one off later today. Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Dear BenBen, I am de-lurking as I have just been on holiday to the Normandy coast by train and it was great, last year I went to Orvieto by train too. It is EASY the trains in France and Italy are brilliant. It took me six hours to go from London to Coutances and I went to Italy on the overnight train. I am not scared of flying but I don't like the hanging around etc. I usually hire a car once I get on holiday but it isn't always really necessary. Europe by train is easy and if you book early you can get some great deals and there is no airport hanging around, bliss.0
