Right, I phoned the mortgage company to find out about the overpayments. I haven't made any actual overpayments since I got my new mortgage last year as I decided to just save it all for when we moved. As that now isn't going to happen I figured I may as well start making the payments again as it knocks off more interest that way than I am earning in savings.
Anyway, I can pay up to £499 a month on top of the normal payments without incurring penalties, so the first one has just gone off
I am going to pay £499 each month from the pot that has built up (8252 currently) and then obviously this will hopefully keep growing each month as I make more money
I will also need to keep using this as my matched betting float too. Mortgage Total: £49,992/ £75,000

An excellent plan - and am sure that you will refil your pot just as quickly as you pay out

Hi benbenandme
Ellidee recommended your diary to me, because of your battles withe csa (I've had a few) and also because you're so savvy with money. I'm never going to read the whole thread before bed so thought I would catch up tomorrow....*subscribes*

Morning and welcome Poles
I've found the csa to be very polite on the phone, its just a shame I haven't had any money sonce going through them  But at least they are having to deal with my numpty ex instead of me
Well today is looking like its going to be a good day, I oke up to ds grinning at me and asking me to get up ... and he had sneaked out of bed and tidied the lounge and his bedroom as a surprise for me :j :j :j I am sooooo proud of him
His room was tidy anyway except for a couple of cars on the floor, but the lounge was a tip, he's put all his toys away, the cups in the sink, shoes away in the cupboard, I am so so happy, can you tell??
It really is the little things in life that make your day isn't it, not money at all :T :T :T Mortgage Total: £49,992/ £75,000
