congrats on getting another month off the mortgage, but i do think you should keep all the £175 to treat yourself and may be buy lovely clothes when you get to target...birthday money should be about treating yourself, especially after the carp time you have had recently.....

Tax credits have gone in today, and I've rejiggled things slightly; my plan was to put all of it into the mortgage pot and then when/if I get my maintenace this month to use that to fill the old mortgage pot and then the rest goes into the new pot. However, as there is no certainty of getting that money I am instead going to fill the old mortgage pot first with tax credits money and then the remainder of that and any maintenace I may get will get put in when I receive it ;)

This means that of todays tax credits money £242 goes into the old pot which means thats back where it should be, and the remaining £196 goes into the new pot, obviously if I need to get to it I can still but hopefully once its in there then psychologially I won't want to touch it :D

Just realised I added up the tax credits money wrongly; I should have put £242 into the old mortgage pot and £243 into the new one ... off to adjust signature accordingly :D
