Morning all, am off to Sainsburys in a minute to get the shopping done before it gets bank holiday busy in there, then I will either tackle ds bedroom or do the end of month finances. Possibly even a bit of both :)

After hours and hours of number crunching I'm finally getting there ...
I've had to move various bits around but all the pots now have the correct amount in except for the ground rent one (still waiting to find out the amount needed) and the car maintenance fund (have a feeling it could be high this year as didn't have a service last year so could always do with more pennies in it).

The maintenance money has been put into a pot as I have decided to wait until August is out the way before I spend it. Then I will know whether I am likely to receive any more for the next year or two

Bath is done, now snuggling on the sofa with ds watching Wall-E, a blissful way to spend a wet bank holiday afternoon :)

Had my brother on the phone tonight, he's coming down next weekend as Mums asked tonight for a family meeting :(:( She is really struggling to cope with Dad now, he's doubly incontinent pretty much all the time, she's showering him 3 or 4 times a day and she's exhausted :o I've been suggesting he goes into the home for longer periods for a while but she has resisted, but I think shes realising now that its becoming necessary. We're also going to look at other options such as having someone come into the house with them to help, but she hates that idea, and tbh they'd need to be there 24/7 :( Not gonna be much fun this week :o

Sorry to hear things aren't too good for your mum and dad BenBen, but she needs to think of what is best for her now - or she will end up being ill herself. At least if your dad is in a home more she can visit and still have some time to herself, rather than struggling to cope and being exhusted all the time.

    love and hugs to all

Sorry to hear things are coming to a head with your Dad, it must be a tough decision to make but like stressedmum says she needs to think of herself. Hugs.

We've been away camping this weekend so I've just caught up with all your goings on, hot date hey?? Woo hoooo :D:D

Thankyou Tigz and StressedMum, Mum has done so well to cope with him for this long but it is making her ill now. No-one should have to live like it, she had to get up twice in the night to change his bed as it was soaked :o

Your tent looked fab Tigz, hope it wasn't too cold out there :)

Went to the dentist this morning and had my crown fitted, ds came with me and was as good as gold, sat reading Harry Potter while I had it done :) Then we finished off the treasure hunt we started the other day, which took several hours, can highly recommend them if theres any in your area (treasuretrails), £5 for several hours decent fun and got to know more about the local area too :T

After that we came home and ds played while I made a start on his room. Tomorrow he's going to holiday club so I am gutting his room. Todays spends were £4 on bus tickets for the treasure hunt and £3.90 on car parks
