    • Cancelled ds swimming lessons with immediate effect, so thats £20 saved on this months budget :T :T
    • Spoken to tax credits but they said as my childcare costs have reduced by less than £10 per week I don't need to change anything :)
    • Managed to get talktalk to give me a 12 month contract instead of 18 months and at £9.50 per month instead of £14.50 :j
So from that half an hours work thats an extra £25 saved every month on the budget  :D:D:D

Ds tried on the swimming trunks I got him and they were huge on him so need to go back. Luckily my sister gave me my nephews old ones that he hardly wore and they fit fine, so that will be another fiver coming back to me :D

Mum and dad have been away with friends for a few days and are due back on wednesday evening, but mum phoned to say they're coming home tonight instead as dad isn't coping :( We went round there and took some bread and milk etc, so at least she can have a cup of tea when they get back :o

I'm really pleased with what I got sorted out earlier, now need to work on checking everything else is as low as possible :)

Evening all, only one more day to go to the holidays :j :D:D
Today has been a nsd  Postie brought me a £10 tesco voucher from a survey site and a letter for 3 years ground rent payments  The landlord is rubbish at sending out invoices and has finally realised, luckily I put the amount away each month in a separate pot so have the money, EXCEPT, he has siad I didn't pay for 2008 and I am 99% sure I did, so I've been going through old online bank statements and have phoned them. I can see a cheque went out, for the right amount, the week it was due, but am waiting for the bank to check who it was payable to as the statement just has the cheque number on it. Am going to fight it, won't be paying an extra £150 if I don't owe it ;) :)

Am also trying hard to get some tickets on the southern website, its sooo busy, may set the clock for the middle of the night, but should be able to get day returns to london for about a pound for me and ds

Yay, the holidays are here :j :j Its been a hard week at school this week, loads of deadlines. loads of stress, but we made it to the end of the week :)

I also managed to get some train tickets; I got 2 for me and ds to go to London for a day trip in the summer for a total of £1.75 return  and then another lot (2 adult, 3 kids) for a birthday treat for ds and my sister / nephews for the grand sum of £4.80 :j

And so begins the big holiday declutter / deepclean :D Tonight ds and I are blitzing the place, so that it feels nicer for the rest of the week ;)
Today has been a nsd too, apart from the train tickets.
