Kitchen and bedroom are done enough for tonight. Tomorrow I still need to strip the beds, clear the washing mountain and the then resulting ironing pile, and sort out some paperwork, but housework wise the place now looks fine as long as I close ds bedroom door ;):o

I'm not climbing into bed for a lazy laptop night, along with an Ikea catalogue for another attept at inspiration furniture wise

Clothes shopping is done, I spent £56 in primark, which included a navy pair of chinos, a stone pair of chinos, an olive pair of long shorts, a cream sweater for school, a long sleeve black tee, 3 tee's, a vest, a new make up bag, various bits of jewellery and some gloves and earmuffs for my xmas shoebox :D I then spent £12 in H&M on a tee and a shirt, £3.60 on the car park, £8 in Boots for some foot cream, £2.50 on an eyebrow pencil (using my £5 boots voucher) and £4 on food in M&S for lunch. Total spends = £86   BUT I was desperate for some new summer clothes, so should hopefully have enough now to last me :)

I have also emptied out the car of everything that should live indoors, so the plan for the rest of today is to learn to do the hula hoop properly, sort the paperwork pile and have a bath later before I go out with mates :D

Morning all, lovely night out with two good friends last night, went to PIzza Express, didn't have to pay anything as used my clubcard vouchers :money:but don't want to even think about the WW points I ate :o Today is a new start as they say :)

Didn't get home til 1.45 (car needed jumpstarting), but managed a lie-in until 10 which is great for me. Todays plan = sainsburys shopping, return a pair of shorts while I'm there, ironing, collect ds at 3, some exercise, sorting the paperwork a bit more, I have binned and filed what I can now I need to tackle the 'action' pile, clean out the guinea pigs and start tackling ds bedroom.

Sainsburys is done, shorts have been returned, petrol bought, guinea pigs put out in the garden, lunch eaten :) Now I have an hour and a half before going to collect ds, so I want to tackle the paperwork and the ironing in that time. Once I've got him we'll go and clean out the guinea pigs, then home and his homework and his bedroom await us.

Spends = £46 in Sainsburys and £20 on petrol. I had to spend £4.75 on swimming trunks for him for swimming at school, he already has 3 pairs of swimming shorts but they won't let them wear them  Had a look in Primark yesterday but they didn't have any, had to buy a pack of 2 in Sainsburys, such a waste of money when he's already got plenty of swimming shorts :(

Ds is home now, the guinea pigs have been put away for the evening, too cold to clean them out today. Ironing isn't done yet, am waiting for several bits to dry before I think about doing it.

I tried to sort the paperwork pile but without much success ... I phoned to cancel ds swimming lessons but I have to call again tomorrow to speak to someone else ... I tried to complete my tax credit renewl but need to phone them tomorrow too .... Same for my NI exeption form .... In the end I have given up with that, but it has highlighted how I've lost a lot of control of my financial routine. So, this afternoon I want to start getting it back under control. I need to sort out my record keeping, check everything is on the cheapest available tariff etc. First stop is the home insurance which is up for renewal next month, quidco here I come ... :D

Home insurance sorted ... renewal quote was £103, new policy is £57 with £45 to come back from quidco (hopefully) This means that my payments will now be £4.75 a month instead of £9.50 that I have been paying, an extra fiver a month into the mortgage pot :T :T

Off to start the dinner now, then I will look into my broadband ... does anyone know how it works? I want to change from talktalk, but I want it to be uninterrupted, can I do that?? Thats whats been putting me off doing it, I couldn't cope with a week or two of no internet :o

I have checked the broadband suppliers and talktalk are the cheapest for me still, so I checked my account and as I am out of a contract they have offered me a deal for £7.50 for 3 months then the normal £14.50 a month on an 18 month contract ... all good except on their home page they are offering new customers £7.50 a month for 12 months on a 12 month contract  I phoned them and they said its only for new customers, I tole them I would leave and go elsewhere then, they told me to call again tomorrow and speak to someone else  Looks like I might be spending a lot of my day on the phone tomorrow :D

So hopefully tomorrow I can reduce my talktalk package by £7.50 a month, I have reduced my contents insurance by £5 a month with £45 to come via quidco too and I should be able to cancel the swimming lessons saving £20 a month

My electricity is still the best option having checked on the comparison website, my mobile is still in contract until April, life assurance is another one I need to sort out, will work on that one next week when we're on school holidays. Car insurance is due in July so will start looking soon for that one too :)

Good luck with talktalk - I had a huge problem with them a couple of years ago and found them very frustrating to deal with. I hope you have better luck!!
