I gave in my money for the dvd today and didn't order one for him. If he wanted to see it he could have come to the school to watch it, or he could have contacted them about ordering one, or he could have paid me when he said he would for it ... not my problem to chase him up for it, I have tried to compensate his lack of interest in ds life for long enough

So apart from the £5 for the dvd today has been a nsd. We had the first of our 2 secret santas at work today and I got a really nice tin of m&s christmas cookies, all cranberry, clementine and ginger cookies, yum yum

Evening, tonights night out was cancelled as one friend was ill and another very tired, not too worried as its some money saved
Instead we've been to ds swimming lesson which he loved tonight, then to his school for a community carol-singing session
It was lovely, mulled wine, mince pies, candlelight and carols, really really nice and free too :T Well, 50p on a hot chocolate for me and 65p on snacks for ds. I also spent £1 on a snack at work today. On the way home we stopped off for chips for tea (£2). Happy days
Off for a quick bath before wrapping another secret santa gift and then another earlyish night. Tomorrow night we're going to see the Coca-Cola lorry :j :jMortgage Total: £49,992/ £75,000

Not sure if I've mentioned on here or not, but recently I've been developing a crush on ds teacher
Anyhow, ds has mentioned before about how he lives on his own with his 2 cats, and tonight was chatting with a mate and remembered she sometimes does supply at ds school so asked her about him .....
Apparently he also shared his flat with his girlfriend
Grr!!! Where are the decent, cute, solvent men????

Oh darn it, silly teacher! Doesn't he know what's under his nose?!?

BTW, if you do find a decent, cute, solvent man - check if he's got a brother for me, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I've given up on them! I've been invisible to all mankind for a couple of years, until a few weeks ago when a slimy married man pursued me and found it hard to take bog off for an answer
Thank goodness he has now!! 0 -

Not too bad for the middle of the month, I need more petrol in the next day or two, and friday night will be expensive drinks and taxi-wise, but other than that I don't have much expensive stuff planned so I reckon I may stay on track this month

Just one more day to go!!!

Spends today = £4.50 on a key cutting (will get the money back from work), £2 charity tin, 30p on cake, £2.50 on a birthday card and wrap.
Off in a bit to deliver said birthday card and present, then I need to decide what I'm wearing tomorrow night and get stuff ready to take with me tomorrow. I also need to deliver stuff for ds for staying at mums tomorrow night, I need to wrap a few bits and pieces to take into school for the end of term as well as ds teachers gifts
Gonna be a long night me thinks, and I also think we may hit McD's for tea tonight too

Yay to one more day, DD looks like a little ghost she's so tired and run down! (even after having a whole week off last week with norovirus.....) I can't wait for the end of term.
You're doing really well with your mid-month, personally I'm very glad I get paid early this month

Well whadd'ya know ....
Just when all things financial seem to be going against me, a little ray of sunshine appears ...
We popped into mum and dads as my sister and nephew had gone round there, and while there my parents gave me (and my sister) a cheque for £1000. Its money left from my nan, she left everything to my dad and my aunt, and mum and dad wanted us all to have something too, so have given us a cheque each. I'm very touched, I have no idea what I'll do with it yet, am guessing it will be in the abnk for a while while I think about it
Does help ease the pressure though
:T :T
Right, back to tonight; nephews present sorted and delivered, ds clothes for staying at mums delivered, baths done, still got bucket loads to do though ... ds still needs to write his teachers cards, I need to write cards for people at school, I need to wrap a present for someone at school, I need to decide what I'm going to wear tomorrow night, I need to decide how the hell I'm getting there tomorrow (do I walk to school, then get a lift to the meal, then get a cab home, or do I drive to school, drive to the meal, drive home, get changed, get the bus into town then a cab home, or something else??? Aaaagh!!!! So many decisions!!!
