I would buy the house and use my immensely superior intellect to enslave the learning difficulties people until they would do my every bidding.

Kids are amazing at adapting and getting used to things. If they can learn to understand people's physical deformities (which I presume you're refering to) then they will be stronger as adults. You just need to impart your own wisdom...

If they do "freak out" initially, I'm sure your neighbours will have come across it before.

If your kids would freek out at the sight of someone with a disablity, you should be deeply ashamed of yourself as a parent.

why havent you taught your children to appreciate that people are different and some people who have vulnerabilities and special needs may act differently but they are just the same as they are. you should have exposed them before now to other people, children included who have disabilities, disfigurements etc. the 5 year old is more than old enough to understand this.

a child who is properly taught this sort of thing, should not freak out as you say, at the sight of people who walk differently, have problems speaking, wave their limbs around because they have no control etc

Children are very accepting. I wouldn't be worrying about the children's reaction. I would be worrying about resale. As terrible as this is, the very fact you are thinking twice means that any potential buyers when you sell will also think twice. I would consider this more than what my children will think.

I think it is very sad that you are thinking like this. I presume you mean learning disabilities. In what way do they look severe as by using expressions like this your prejudice is showing which would no doubt pass to your children? Would you rather we went back to keeping people in institutions?
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Children don't share the same prejudices that adults do, so yes, I would buy it. Much better than many 'normal' people who park Cortinas on bricks and have wild parties all night.... It would be beneficial to yourself and your family to live there as you would learn many lessons in life....
