  • If I was you I wouldn't deal with the Chinese lot! I ordered some eyelash curlers back in May and even after opening up a dispute with Paypal and ebay, I'm still waiting for them! Have contacted them 3 times - waste of time.

Is there a way of finding out sellers who will post to the uk?

    Cheers

Should be mentioned in the listing somewhere.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

    Well, I've "bought" this.

I'm taking bets on whether or not it will arrive, so hopefully will be able to recover any losses that way. ;)

The seller has acknowledged receipt of funds, and has e-mailed me to double check correct delivery address. That sounds like an encouraging start. :D

Yeah it's just a pain going through and having to check they deliver world wide .
I meant more like a way of weeding out china only.

I've dealt with a supplier from china a few times, granted not throu ebay tho. i found them to be extremely friendly, curteous and totally genuine. no problems at all with customs and delivery took less time than it often takes from a few towns away.

my only concern would be if the disc was genuine but you've decided to take a chance and i hope everything is in order when it arrives :)
Nobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission ;)

Yeah....customs....that was something I'm a bit concerned about. Sometimes you get hit, and sometimes you don't. I've ordered from Amazon.com for stuff not available in the UK, and got hit by customs. I refused to collect it, they returned to sender and I got a refund. Re-ordered through Amazon Marketplace, straight through with no problems. How is that fair?

I wouldn't fancy letting it get sent back to China - I might not see it again.

Me too, funnily enough. :D If I do get it ok, it'll work out at about half the price it would be from a UK seller. :money:

  • MrBadexample. I assume you paid for this item via paypal. How did you find the amount to pay.

    Cheers for any help

    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

I emailed the seller, he gave me a price. Hit the "buy it now" on the listing, then sent funds through PayPal "transfer funds".
