:hello:
Anyone bought anything from eBay China? I've seen a boxed set of DVDs I'd like. I've done a lot of looking, and it appears they may even be genuine.

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Noooooooooooo, support your UK eBay sellers!
The probability of having a problem with a purchase from China is much higher than when buying from an established UK seller. There has been much publicity about ready made eBay accounts with feedback being easily available for sale in China. Its also more likely the item could go missing, incur Customs Charges on import and its a long way to send something back if it is faulty or you change your mind. If you buy from a UK business seller you have 7 days to return it for ANY reason under distance selling. This does not apply to China.
Glad you have had no issues but I could list you hundreds of China sellers account names where UK purchasers have encountered the same problems...never received item, wrong item, no response to emails, no refund for faulty item, rip off postage etc. (Yes some UK sellers are not whiter than white but proportionately....)
See the thread further down here called my game didnt come now i've lost money
If UK sellers get no support then we will all only be left with China sellers to buy from in the future.0 -

Now that would be a first...:)
You just have to check their feedback thoroughly and its not all in chinese (ie have dealt overseas before)then take the risk. I have bought some pearls once no problem.0 -
Buy from chinese or honk sellers at your own risk.. any problems with the items and you will not get a refund. They will ask for the items to be returned at a very high cost to yourself or they will quote one of their conditions so you will not get a refund. If you do send the items back you will not get a response back.. you have been warned. This is why you should buy from UK sellers=======================

I have bought from china a couple of times. The last time was a couple of weeks ago. I used ebay.com and used a seller that had an outstanding feedback, I mean 100% with a very high percentage of people really really prasing the service they got. I emailed the seller to say I was in the UK, not a problem, so I bought my goods. I have to say I was impressed - pefectly packed, all customs forms filled in for customes to inspect and it only took 4 days from china - if only all sellers were like this. I emailed them to say how pleased I was and that they will definetly be getting repeat business from me.
I have seen all the high priced electronic stuff listed by chinese sellers with 10 or so cheap feedback from their other 10 accounts, and I am sorry to say but anyone who bids on these auctions should do their homework before buying or they deserve to loose their money. I think the saying goes A fool and their money are easily parted.0 -
Thanks for your replies.

If I pay by credit card through PayPal, I'll be covered, right?
I think I'm gonna chance it...If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Cut and paste the item number into eBay uk - it'll come up with the item in a page you're familiar with.

Never had any problems with chinese sellers myself, alot of those 10's of thousands of positive feedbacks, so i dont see why anyone wouldn't trust them. Most of the dvd's are genuine aswell, just the chinese version, but they all have english on them so no problems.0

Is there a way of finding out sellers who will post to the uk?
Cheers0
