Claiming on Orange Care insurance for a damaged iphone.

Options
Hi all

I was just wondering if anybody has had any experience with claiming on their Orange Care insurance. To cut a long story short I was pushed into a lake at the weekend and as I'm sure you can imagine my iphone has not escaped unscathed. It all appears to function ok but the back light no longer works.

Have any of you claimed on this insurance for a damaged phone and if so, what do you think my chances of getting a replacement are?

Thanks

after being silly enough to get a samsung phone on my last upgrade i have claimed off orange car 6 times in 14 months seen as my phone kept packing in they charge £15 for first replacement and then i refused to pay it for anymore even though they state its free if its a fault with the phone that the customer hasnt caused but they still charged me anyway.
not sure where you would stand with accidental damage like yours but give them a ring and see what they say i usually get my new phone within 24hours but last time they took nearly a week to send the phone piece by piece i.e. phone one day then i had to ring and ask for a battery then the following day for the charger- was the final nail in the coffin for me and orange i am just waiting till october when i can cancel contract and go elsewhere

They don't state that they'll waive the fee if its a fault with the phone, it says on the website that 'a £15 admin fee applies to all accepted claims'. The OPs claim would be covered under accidental damage (unless you were drunk at the time), phone Orange and they'll replace the phone
