    Got an idea...

How much is the minimum you reckon you could cope on for spending money for a holiday if you really tried? I'm thinking I could do it between £50 and £150 depending on what I knew my mates would expect me to join in with.

When's your birthday? Explain to your other mates that you're too skint to take this holiday, which has already been booked, but it seems so silly to chuck it so... It's a bit cheeky but would anyone like to give you your birthday or christmas pressie early as cash, cos it really is well daft to throw this chance away. Failing that- who wants thier car washed or thier dog walked or their dreaded eBay parcel pile taken through the 3-mile post office queue then?

The secret to scraping it together when desperate is to come accross as appealing (so not to come across as desperate then). So big smile, be cheerful even if they say no (cos then they are more likely to have a change ofheart later) and say it like you know full well it's cheeky as fek, in a bouncy sort of way. The words you actually say have less importance tan the way you say them, so say them like you're the Olympic flirting champion defending your title in the 20 minutes cheekiness contest. But do say the truthful reason why you want it (coz it's such a shame to throw something away that Jo*, Alex* and Sam* and me spent hundreds treating me to, all for the sake of not being able to raise £100.

(* obviously use your real mates names)
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(
  • funnily enough my birthday is a week before:j

I;ve worked out (including spends and dogs at my friends' who is a dog sitter and gives me mates rates), I'd probs need about £250:eek:

heehee Hannah I like your advice.

You were talking about dog food - I got a 15kg bag of waggs from costco - think it was about £8 - they sell it in asda but I think it is around £9.50 in there - my dog loves it and I have not had any problems with it - infact it makes her p** very easy to lift if you know what I mean!!! I was reluctant to try it at first so bought a small bag in asda but have never looked back - used to spend £30+ per 15kg on hills or eukanuba - might be worth trying
