I was also a big fan of the word 'spacker' when I was younger :o

    Kids haven't changed.:D

My girls tell me I'm 'so gay' when I do anything stupid or wrong in their eyes.

Everyone and everything is 'so gay' at the moment.

Sorry OP for going totally off topic :o
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

You had 13 bids on the auction and the next bid under his was £32.51 so i guess alot of people didnt bother to read the description

I think "spacker" is still in common use, though its popularity is (thankfully) waning. When I was young, I remember "!!!!!!" being a popular general-purpose insult. I think I used it myself, having no idea what it actually meant. My only knowledge of the word "gay" at the time was in the old sense of the word (as in Enid Blyton books etc).

i didnt actually think that was the case.. if you search completed listings for brabantia bin lids they consistently sell at a high price.. i think its more to do with the fact your bin is pretty much useless if the clicky lid doesnt work as i know how annoyed i got when mine broke! £80 worth of bin down the drain :( i really didnt think they all misread the listing, i would like to think people genuinely wanted the bin lid  never mind - ive left appropriate feedback in anycase. :)

So does appropriate mean negative, neutral or positive?! SOrry me being nosy again!!

I would leave negative or neutral - its their own fault for bidding on the auction - its pretty clear to most 'normal' people that its just a bin lid!
