We're yet again at this point where people are agreeing with each other just to "fit in".... But whatever.

I think parking such vehicles should be done a little more responsibly, especially when its a minibus with rear windows and looks almost exactly like a standard talivan....

    Fight amongst yourselves.

The solution would be for any vehicles with this type of marking on them should pull into the layby, perform a 3 point turn so that when they park the rear of their car is not facing the traffic in the lane they are in.

There is not always space for these vehicles to park more responsibly.

The person at fault is the idiot who was driving within the speed limit and slammed on their brakes for no reason.

Unfortunately I live near a dual carriage way with lots of speed camera's and have to put up with all sorts of idiotic driving.

It's very amusing if there is a police car in the middle lane going at 45mph as those in the 3rd lane have no idea what to do.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)

Has it not occured to you that your the one not fitting in? Or are you one of those driving fascists who insists that you are the most important driver on the road and f$%@ anyone else.

Yes that must be it. People are all saying you're in the wrong just to "fit in". That must be it because clearly it can't be you that's wrong.

How can a van parked up in a layby possibly be responsible for the bad driving habits of others?

Please don't think for a moment that my posts are intended to "fit in" or to form cliques. I post what I post because the subject is one I am highly experienced in and I usually go to great lengths to gather the facts before posting. In most cases, I even go so far as to quote my sources.

The truth hurts to some, but I will continue to speak it.

I don't want to get into any flame wars or be seen to take sides between groups of people, so I'm going to put this topic to bed and not comment further; I've said what I wanted to say and know that what I said was factual and objective.

    Good night and safe driving.

According to the OP its not the driving that needs safety.....its the parking, especially in laybays if you happen to have a highvis paintjob, :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:

You are the one that is out of step, simply because you are wrong.

Are you a fairly new driver Strider?

I ask this because some of your posts seem somewhat naive. I wouldn't say any worse of you than that but everything seems to be a 1st time experience for you, things that more experienced drivers have seen before and have come to accept and more importantly expect.

You kept yourself out of trouble this time, hopefully having learnt from your previous accident.

The reasons for hiviz have been given but I just have 1 question for you if you had been speeding at that time and were the 1 car in line, would you have slammed the anchors on?

If you have to answer; maybe, possibly or even I don't know, well, this is why folks have reacted.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
