A good idea I read recently - if you need to fully submerge some washing up for soaking, rather than fill an entire sink/washing up bowl for one or two small items, cut the top off a 2l drinks bottle and put your item(s) in there. Uses much less water and leaves your sink free too! It's proved really handy for the dogs' Kong toys, a perfect fit and saves leaving muddy/dog-food-covered Kongs in the normal washing up bowl.0
